Oscar can generate 2+ million PPV numbers but he needs to present himself as a serious threat to his opponent. If he continues losing and fans will see that he is shot then its all over for him. The Mayorga fight was a great opportunity to 1. Get the prestiguos WBC belt 2. Get impressive victory by knockout (wonder if that fight was set up although no need to, Mayorga sucks).
he's just looking for more attention, though surely he got enough in the whole hookers and fishnets ordeal.
pacman will throw his career down the drain if he sells out and goes with a fight with oscar. he has unfinished business at 130lbs and maybe a move up to 135..That right there is 10x greater than a shot at the ****** DLH. In that case pacman should just fight ricky hatton at 140lbs and kill himself
Oscars best weight was not far from 140. Just because he has fought at higher weights doesn't make it natural for him. Tell me you wouldn't want to see Oscar vs Pacman @ 140-ish. Why do folks love to hate so much? Can anybody name ONE fighter that doesn't fight for money?
Honestly . . . I wouldn't want to see Pac fight at 140 because I know he'll look stupid. And Oscar will lose credibilty than anyhting else for making money out of a fighter who's fighting 3 weight classes below. Of course they all fight for money . . . but in this case there can never be any justification or hype to make the fight look good. :yep
Well I think Pac can EASILY carry an extra 5-10 lbs and look good. Against an over-the-hill and inactive DHL, This fight would be at the very least interesting. So you are telling me that if this fight is signed for, say a 145 catchweight, you wouldn't watch it?
Of course I would watch it . . . but I won't pay for it. That fight has no bearing, it's all for money and I just don't see Pac winning not unless DLH comes in there like a malnorish kid from Somalia.
I wouldn't pay either, but then again I never pay for fights. :yep Seriously though, people get all angry and upset whenever Oscar is mentioned. And this fight is still only a rumour that seems to have been started by the Oscar haters in the first place!
I don't know that he couldn't beat Ouma, Kramizan, or Judah. I do agree that he should retire and those guys would have a decent shot. He is risking becoming another SRL in the late stages of his career. Who can forget the Hearns Draw, the Terry Norris beating and the ass whipping he took from Camacho. Camacho actually looked Macho fighting Leonard.
