Oh yeah but look at it this way, he keeps getting chances to go out with a big win only because of the money he draws in not because he deserves all those shots at whoever the p4p king might be at the time, Other greats once they lost 2 or 3 they have to fight their way back to fight the big names or the champion, Oscar doesn't he just picks whoever he wants to fight, thats what his been doing for his last 6 or 7 fights, If it was someone else with a legacy as great as his but does not bring big money he wont even get on the undercard at showtime.
I would never critizise a boxer for quitting, but thats what some of them do and when your taking a beating its the only reasonable thing for you and your corner to do, doesn't mean I dont respect him for getting in there in the first place.
Yea I get you. He was soooo sure of himself. Constantly making KO jokes. "This one is for the pain in my toe...and this one is for the pain I'm going to put on Pacquiao." :rofl Why people are getting bent out of shape? I have no idea. **** this guy man. This is well past his REAL fighting days (as in the motivation to carry through a fight and REALLY dig deep to pull out the win). He simply bought his most recent fights and quits or doesnt go all in anymore. If the man wasn't attractive, he'd be a washed up nobody a long time ago. The fact that he can still get panties wet with the idea of him fighting is what makes him a big draw. Half the women I talked to about the fight were either really sad that he got his ass handed to him on a golden platter or straight out lost interest in the man because "he didn't even try." It's about time someone woke his ass up to reality and made him take off the gloves and tighten up the tie. He's a business man and should stay a business man.
its a goddamn joke man..... he was talking all this ko nonsense like he was going to punch paq one time and it would have been a wrap - 1 pill for my toe, 1 toe for my back, 1 toe for manyn paqiou's back... blah cmon now what does my boxing preferences have to do with it i also like cotto margarito pavlik & haye? did i ever say oscar was bad for boxing? did i ever discredit his resume (in fact ive made threads saluting him for his resume)? haha lighten up wow.. exactly jeesus christ one person with a sense of human.... people on this forum are outrageous i swear...they pick the most random times to be serious and then be joksters i mean damn yall are the same people who type gayweather call people duckers unesscessarily are the first to call someone over rated, washedup, or done for hop on band waggons the quickest and make one light hearted thread and you guys get your underwear twisted? wow
I understand what you mean. It's always funny when someone has to eat their words so long as it's not "YOU". My point was only that DLH was talking **** and craking jokes b/c the man was SUPREMELY confident that he was going to Put Manny on his ass and win by KO. Of course that didnt' happen but MANY other posters..myself included felt DLH was going to do the things he said he would during the build up to the fight.....I think it's funny but I wouldn't call DLH a clown for talking **** and having to eat his words otherwise half the boxers in the world would be considered clowns since most of the time there is a looser and a winner.
He did train very hard for the fight. His new trainer Nacho probably didn't know how much DLH could handle and likely overtrained him. He sparred too many rounds.
There was way too much money involved in that fight considering Oscar's age and possible weight drain which did happen. If this was a 1999 147 pound Oscar and todays Pacman then ok make it huge, this just wasnt worth that amount of money.
