    Its not new
    Its been happening for a very long time. Since boxing started actually.

    More recently Golovkin vs Brook and Vanes, Canelo vs Khan, as you pointed out Spence vs Garcia...

    Take it back to a previous era, Hopkins vs Welterweights, and Hagler vs Welterweights.

    Nothing new, just boxers trying to fight the best names. Its not always intersting, like Spence vs Mikey.. But I do recall a lot of people calling Spence a natural MW not long ago.

    Yes.... I know that IsaL, I was being snarky and basically I meant new trend of the moment, specifically seemingly revolving around Errol Spence Jr. Aside from Brook and Khan doing it, we haven't seen it much lately.

    Spence vs Porter and the winner of Thurman vs Pac seems better to me than moving up to get beat up by Canelo.

    He does have a high IQ. Just don’t see him doing anything to hurt canelo as he’s proven to have an iron chin

    You'll just have to pardon me, my mind doesn't process jumping three or four pounds the same as jumping 13, to fight a guy that will be 28 lbs heavier than his regular opponents on fight night.

    What’s Errol’s price to cooperate?
    Canelos last real fight was lara.
    Real fighter vs manufactured fighter
    If Spence can’t be bought he embarrasses canelo.

    Welterweight division is stacked. Probably one of the best divisions. Name three champions in a single division stronger than Crawford, Spence, Thurman. There aren't many.
