But surely Oscar's "quitting" belongs in a thread about quitting. Not in a thread about how one ATG respects another :huh

Whether he has bravado or not, he got seriously paid.

Being a human punching bag is one thing. Quitting is another thing. Surviving by being on the move constantly is another. All 3 are frowned upon. Some say being a human punching bag is going out like a man (Margarito), but I say that's the worst of the 3. If he really truly has these health issues now, and can't fight anymore, look what being a man got him.

Manny let both Oscar and Shane know it's time to hang it up. I guess he may have put Margarito out of the game too. Imagine if Manny was a rapper....he'd have tons of street cred. He put 3 big names out of the game.

i was a big oscar fan when he was fighting but now i cant stand him, he says the stupidest things ever like with the whole pbf negotiation thing... "yes its happening".... "no i lied because people were getting on my nerves".

also the **** he was talking about mosley on twitter during the fight about ithe fight being a sparring session, has he forgotten how he got humiliated like a ***** when he attempted to cherry pick a lightweight?

Oscar took the big money fight and became the first of Mannys ":yikes did eh really just do that" notches.

I'm sure Oscar was just disappointed because he believed his pal would take the fight to Manny but took a much more cautious counter punching approach that couldn't be employed because Shane couldn't pull the trigger. We're all allowed to be disappointed.

He believed in his well respected ATG friend to beat Manny Pacquiao. I don't think believing in your friend is something we should turn our noses up at, even if your belief is misplaced.

with the large exposure from showtime this fight will have lost alot of casual fans

Oscar was de-hydrated and not fighting at a comfortable weight and took the beating like a man, when he went out on the stool enough was enough did you want to see him leave on a stretcher?

Shane got hit, and ran like a chicken. Before he got hit he was just jabbing the air.

Oscar gets a lot more respect in his fight with Manny.

 

I'm sure Oscar was upset that his buddy didn't believe in his ability to get him the biggest payday possible against Manny, while Shane has to put himself first and do whats best for Shane. I can't see why people can't let it rest and let a shirtless Mosley shake hand with Oscar in a very sexy scene indeed (no homo).

 

I'd be disgusted with Mosley if I was Oscar, particularly as Oscar should of won the fight.

Seriously, what's the difference between what Margo did, to what Shane did? its still cheating, its still putting someones life in jeopardy, but what makes it worse, is that Mosley was supposed to be a friend of DLH's, someone he's known since they were kids.

Maybe they're as unscrupulous as each other? maybe that's why DLH can accept it?
