Oscar says it is a toss up..after fighting them both

It's crazy to me how many people think Floyd just destroys manny after the hurting he put on Oscar and Cotto and Marco and Erik. Sure, he might win, but the fighters STILL HAVE TO FIGHT.

Everybody knows Tyson destroys Douglas and Holyfield ... except he didn't. In hindsight everyone knows Holyfield was his cryptonite: an excruiserweight who couldn't be bullied. Everybody knows Vivian Harris beats Maussa. Everyone knows George Foreman blows through the washed up Ali. Everybody knows after the beating Duran put on Moore Moore was going to get soundly outboxed by Benitez, who had just outboxed Duran. Everybody knows Oscar and Cotto are just too big for Pac.

Floyd may kill Pac, but geez they are both great fighters and a Pac victory is at least a 30% probability. Floyd does not fight exactly like JMM.

+ Morales and Barrera had 3 losses before fighting Pacquiao.

Morales lost to Zahir Raheem and was weight drained in the 2nd and the 3rd fight.

Barrera lost Junior Jones 2 times.

So stop acting like those victories are extraordinary.

sure, but in the 80s fighter lost handfuls of bouts and still had quality victories over highly rated opponents late in their careers. You can't convince me Oscar, Cotto, Morales, Barrera, and Mosley, and Marquez ALL just suddenly sucked and forgot how to fight when Kirkland can get knocked out by a Japanese guy and Khan predictably struggled with all of his opponents except Judah. Those guys Pac beat are quality fighters, even if they are shot they are still challenging opponents if they are "UP" for a fight ... you don't see other people who stink beating them up.

They are extraordinary. so what if a fighter has losses? Barrera does NOT SUCK. He is an amazing fighter. People lose. Ray Robinson had a lot of losses by the time he retired. Nowadays everyone is a "bum", it's disconcerting. when fighters fight sometimes they lose.

 

Oscar weight drained and lost his belt against Mayweather.

Cotto : Catchweight

Morales weight drained and coming off a loss.

Mosley old and lost his belt against Mayweather.


THATS FACT SORRY.


Barrera is a good win buts thats not enough to be on the level of Mayweather.

 

Your only as good as your last fight.

 

You can do this for every person's accomplishments. The fact is that both have fought THE BEST fighters of this era.

Floyd got hit by Emmanuel Augustus. He looked extremely ordinary against Carlos Hernandez, even dropping into the splits at times to avoid getting hit and pretending to slip. Reggie Strickland should have won two of the four rounds against Floyd. Genaro Hernandez was going to die of cancer someday. Angel Manfredy stoppage was premature. Baldomir would have won if the judges from Lara-Williams were used.

Does that mean Floyd is over-rated? No.

Floyd got buzzed by a guy who revealed he was completely shot just one fight later in Mosley. Yes you can. Mosley could have won that fight in the second... but geez, the rest of his fight and the fight with Pac really DO show that he was mostly shot. An old shot guy shook Floyd up BAD. You can do this with EVERYONE. No fighter is perfect and losses don't make them terrible fighters.

Mosley was the first guy to knock Antonio Margarito out and became the #1 Welterweight + WBA Super Welterweight Champion after this and you tell me that he was shot when he fought Mayweather?

Stop your BS Mosley came from a good performance and the HBO commentators even said that it was the best performance of his career.

Mosley came from 2 KO victories when he fought Mayweather.

 

and one fight later he was completely shot? The beating Floyd put on him ruined him, but not the beatings put on him by Vernon or Winky or Cotto? I just don't understand why a bad peformance against Floyd, a weird listless performance against Mora, and a bad performance against Manny were the traces of that greatness against Margarito showed up at all. He's still Mosley. And he looked terrible against Mayorga before that last second KO. He looked exceptional against Margarito, yes, it's true, but I think the record for Floyd and Pac fighting Shane should be a wash.

I'm really not trying to discredit Floyd, he is an awesome fighter, but Pac is too.

 

The most important thing is that Mosley was coming off great performances AND WAS A CHAMPION when he fought Mayweather.


He came off a loss,a draw AND WASNT CHAMPION ANYMORE when he fought Pacquiao.


Im just stating facts about Pacquiao...
