I couldn't agree more. :thumbsup Though I do believe a LW fight between Floyd and Mosley would have been awesome and very competative.

What was Oscar landing besides the jab:think

He didn't set anything up behind it..because he couldn't:deal

I always said the man to beat Mayweather jr had to be a fighter that has some height,a good left hand(jab),power and hand speed.

    Oscar fits all those things.

Prime for prime Oscar takes a win against Jr IMO.

Oscar did great if you ask me against Mayweather even with Oscar fighting an aggressive fight the way he did coming forward, which IMO was kinda the wrong fight to fight for almost an entire fight.

De La Hoya gassed himself out because of the that aggressive style of fight he fought for the first 6/7 rounds.

Oscar made the fight by being aggressive but should have mixed up coming forward with boxing more, draw mayweather in once in a while.Never should have stopped pumping that stiff jab.

I still say most people that seen the fight give to much credit to Floyd for punches that didn't land for Mayweather.Punches that were blocked by Oscar's gloves.

    I agree on the thread.

Good post and I agree 100%. Floyd's aura of the "unbeatable 'boxer'" took Oscar out of his game. Oscar who spent his career as a boxer, was convinced before the fight that to win, he had to put the pressure on. That is not his game. Floyd does this to alot of people. Like Tyson beat opponents before the fight even started out of fear, Floyd beats them out of insecurity in their boxing ability.

All that being said....At that stage of Oscars career, even if he did try and box more, Floyd would've picked him apart...as he did in many cases in the center of the ring.

You are right though, alot of Floyds credited shots did not even land on anything but glove. :deal

Prime Winky Wright at 154lbs would beat ANY version of Mayweather. Perfect style to beat mayweather.

I agree. At that stage of Oscar's career,he didn't have the reflexes he once had to chess match with May.

Oscar had a pretty tight defence that fight with money. He was picking Floyd's punches off all night with the gloves.

The onslaught he gave mayweather in the early rounds would be enough to tire anyone out too.

Prime Oscar would have beaten Floyd that night.

As others have mentioned, Winky and Forrest would have given Floyd a hell of a fight.

Judah? I am not even going to give this a constructive response. When has Judah EVER shown that he was talented enough to defeat Mayweather. Judah is smoke and mirrors... the flash **** he does may work against C/B level fighters but when he comes up against A class opposition his 'talent' is quickly exposed.

The focus argument is crap... he just isn't good enough

oscar abandoned the jab because the pull counter was destroying him.
