Oscar's 4-5 inches of height advantage will be a disadvantage with the Left Hook.

Again, Don't look for the LEFT HOOK.
It's gonna be an uppercut thrown at the 45 degree angle.
    (And it always has been)

I wonder how can a #1 p4p boxer be even called glass jaw?! It's an insult to the rest of the boxers below him in p4p.. So you are saying the rest is made of "plastic" or "ceramic" jaw?!

How can anyone from Oxnard be an Oscarsexual? Aside from that, you might be right. Oscar has a much better chance landing an uppercut that is much harder to defend against than a hook.

yada yada yada. MASSIVE wager on this not going the distance, LARGE wager on Oscar KO.

Pac comes in straight, wild, leaves his chin open, squared shoulders, straight in and out (KEY!), and relies on his power to push people back.

Oscar is still an A-level boxer in terms of technical skill and experience, he has a proven jaw, and fights best when his opponents come to him.

In a legit fight, this doesn't go 5. In fact it probably wouldn't go 3. My only concern is Oscar carries him ala Calzaghe and Taylor, to make the fight look more competitive.

Why are you directing this comment at me? :patsch

And this theory is rubbish... just ask Joe Frazier if a taller man can land the left hook.

...What does that matter? He was the heavyweight champion of the world...

The OP says nothing about Pacquiao being the "#1p4pzzzzzzzz". It simply looks at the height discrepancy and the subsequent problems with landing the left hook. I'm simply pointing out that George Foreman had about 4 inches on Joe (who fights smaller with his crouching style, making it probably 6 inches!) and nearly took his head off with the left hook a few times.

Noted buddy! I assure you PAC will do more than what JOE Frazier can manage to do with Foreman!

I agree. It will go the distance IMO.

It does change the levergae and the way the hook is thrown to be effective - But I think purely focussing on the left hook is not tactically astute.

The right hand against the southpaw as Eric Morales demonstrated in thefirst fight is going to be more key for Oscar as a punch to set up the left hook.

I would imagine Oscar being more effective jabbing and throwing right hands against Manny and if the right lands, following it with the quick left hook to compound the damage.

If Manny is charging in without his hands up, quick one two's and if the window is open, the left hook behind it is more going to be likely until it discourages or keeps Manny at bay and then mixing up the right and the left hook.

Oscar's right hand hasn't looked that great since he took on Mayweather's shoulder roll, but I'm sure he can throw a decent right hand and while it may not have been that effective against bigger men, I think any power punch with the size disparity should at the least earn Pac's respect.

I really see this as a battle for Oscar and weight and maintaining condition through 12 rounds as much as it is overcoming Pacman.

I really want Manny to win, but I wouldn't bet on that happening.
