I would say it was factually incorrect to say Frank has never taken a blow.Over the years it is public record he has been shot which is far worse than being punched.... and he allegedly took a quite savage beating yes allegedly a most savage beating from Mike Tyson in 2000 in a hotel room. Frank still did the promotion despite allegedly having to wear make up on the night to cover his wounds which is a sign of a proffesional.Whether we like it or not Warren is Britains Don King .....in the 1980s and 1990s he did deliver fights and he does know what it is to take a blow. I wouldnt blame Frank so much for the decline in image and pr of his company...he got late middle aged 1970s imaged Steve Bunce to front boxnation wheras in retrospect he shouldve at that stage tried to do what Eddie did and get in the millenial and youtube crowd.

It was the Bruno-Bugner fight in October 1987 that put Barry Hearn on the boxing map. (although, of course, he was already famous in sport for the snooker stars).
The idea that he put SKY "on the map" is laughable too. SKY was showing a lot of BIG fights before Eubank went over the them.
He was pushed like no other and subscriptions did noteably go up, though they may of anyway because Sky was in its relative infancy. His figures (regularly) were noteably higher than Lennox had been, Bruno fight aside.
Nobody signed with him after though. Until Eubank came along a couple years later and made him the kingpin.
Yes, Lennox took a while to draw the big audience but was often fighting in the middle of the night. 3 and 4 am, fighting in the US. Eubank was in pubs at 10.00 on Saturday nights. The fact is SKY had massive fights like Holyfield-Douglas, Holyfield-Foreman, Holyfield-Bowe 1, Tyson-Ruddock 1 and 2, Lewis-Ruddock, Lewis-Bruno ..... they also had Tyson-Bruno 1 live the same month or week they launched, back in February 1989. It's a stretch to claim Chris Eubank v Sam Storey or whatever was SKY's arrival into the 'big time boxing'.
Forget boxing. This was Eubank. It was Eubank fighting every six weeks, being heavily advertised etc. Nobody cared who he fought, other than boxing fans like us. The idea was to use Eubank to sell more dishes
I personally didn't watch Eubanks fights on SKY other than Wharton, they were garbage. Was amazed to find he lost to Collins. I hadn't seen much of Collins, even as a boxing madman.
