I'm sure this was already responded to a year ago, but one of them he took a knee and stayed down for the count of 10 for no good reason (it was about as obvious of a dive as I've ever seen) and one of them he was TKOed by Jesus Chavez in Texas where he claims it was a BS stoppage. He was since KOed by Provodnikov though.
Wale is to fight Muhammad Abdullayev at Fort Knox on Nov. 26th. After watching Abdullayev tear Phil Holiday a new arsehole on the Tszyu/Leija card, I thought Abdullayev could be anything. He certainly has faded, not to the point of being taken lightly though. Wale will give him hell and walk away winner via KO 7.
Abdullaev has been replaced by a former KO victim of his - an Argie named Juan Alberto Godoy, who's been in with a several quality operators. Here's a look at him getting pounded on by a very good fighter in Fedchenko: [yt]6bbPvEwgOX0[/yt] [yt]_nBHKW_aYoU[/yt] This will be a good opportunity for Wale to measure up against other world-class talents, depending on how well he does and what method of victory he secures (assuming it is a victory) and how quickly.
I hope Omotoso faces better opposition in the new year, as his management have had him stagnate somewhat this year with 3 insignificant fights IMO.
IB, it's not on tele.. Im off to see the fights in a couple of hours and ESB's Aussie correspondant, LEONMCS, will be relayed each fight out come as they happen. WAR Wale.
Omotoso won, from our fearless correspondent Bobby Sinn, "TKO in the fourth, think it was the fourth, was on my ninth bourbon". When I asked for more details he replied "Can't talk, off to the docks to make some change greeting some sailors" whatever that means. So anyways, Omotoso wins tko.
He needs better management and to step up his level of competition. I believe in order get these fights he needs to out to either the East Coast with the Grange Boys or over West with Harry's. Hell of a talent
Wale caught Godoy in an exchange (ALA George Michael , Leon, Toilet Cubical).. A solid, flushing blow, and the towel was needed to clean up a potentially ugly mess. A very unsteady Godoy observed (via double vision) the referees full count. Wale has lost some bulk of the shoulders and appeared to have increased speed.. Timing and precision lapsed against Godoy early, but Omotoso will knock the soul out of many better fighters in the future. Full credit to Godoy's cornerman for taking care of his fighter when needed. Very smart stopage. I managed to interview Godoy's trainer before the bout. It went as follows. "Welcome to Australia" "Que"?? "Alberto has seen some brilliant fighters over the years" "Que" "This bout could be his last international"?? "Que"?? "Thank you for your time" "Que"??
