Paul Williams strikes me as the kind of guy who will come right back and take on the best after getting stopped. I don't think he'll fight a journeyman fighter next the Cintron rematch seems like a fight he might take.

He was offered to Cotto for the March date but you-know-who didn't want Cotto to take such a risky fight.

I just think his punch resistance is gone. And im not talking about just the Martinez fight.

In the Cintron fight he looked hesitant and unwilling to trade. When he was hit flush he didnt react well to the punches. Not like he used to.

I think the cracking of PWs chin was done during the first Martinez fight. Martinez has some serious pop and he hit PW with many many thunderous shots that would have taken down most fighters that night. Its similar to what i believe to be the cracking of Morales chin. He always had a great chin and i think he could have lasted a few fights longer had he not fought the 12th round like he did in the first Pac fight.

I remember making a thread right after the Cintron fight saying i think his chin was cracked and was expecting a 6-9th round TKO in the Martinez rematch.

Also look at the guys that will be big names in the 154-160 pound division in a year or two. Some good big punchers.

Actually ima go on record and say if Cintron fights PW again he will KO him. Not TKO. KO. Cintron also has good power and those straight right hands are very lethal against a southpaw with no defense.

PW would need to pull a MAB on his career to stay relevant.

Next fight should be a not overly risky yet motivating and tough match-up, something like a K9 for the LMW belt.

That might have been his mentality before getting his world rocked, and if he was coming off a points loss it would be my expectation of him.

    Now? I'm not so sure...

    Fella got clocked.

To my knowledge the times Pacquiao was knocked out was body shots. Since then he has trained hard to take body shots. You can't train a chin.

Williams won't be the same fighter, he would have lost something. Look at Taylor.

I respectfully disagree and think it's just the opposite. He got caught by a great punch he didn't see in the 2nd round. That happens but he didn't take a lot of punishment. If he had taken a sustained beating over a 12 round fight that IMO does more damage to you mentally as well as physically.
