i think he's refferring to haye's natural weight, and thats cruiser. as a cruiser you cant tell me the guy isn't a hard puncher, but ur right about one thing, he hasn't really been tested at HW. we'll see on the 7th
Haye got definitly good pwer but nothing compare to AA . this guy just need one punch to put you down wile Haye need to be throwing a sarm of shot to get the job done!
How is this even a contest? Haye weighs 230, Abraham 168. If Haye still weighed 200, it might be less of an issue, but I suspect Haye's power isn't as good as it's been made out to be. Monte Barrett went 5 with Haye, and got starched in 3 by Solis and 1 by Couser. Enzo's been proven to have a glass jaw at this point. Don't get me wrong, Haye has great power. Anyone who can floor Mormeck and Fragomeni, two tough dudes who can take a punch, has good power. I'm just not sure it's as elite as some make it out to be. I honestly think his high KO rarte has more to do with the fact that he's a great finisher and can put together combos where every punch hits hard. But in terms of one punch concussive power, Abraham has to be well ahead of him.
I don't think there is much in it. Haye has knocked out a couple of really tough dudes in Mormeck and Fragomeni. I also think he has much more natural power in terms of he can throw every punch with a lot of power without forcing the issue, whereas Abraham leaps off his feet to throw hooks he tries so hard, plus he's spending most of the time conserving energy to do just that. Haye's size is an advantage though, most good heavyweights have a high KO percentage.
Abraham is miles above Haye!!! He has lots of stamina, a chin, power, he fights the best, Haye backs out of fights with Klitschkos.
If Haye was still at cruiser id pick him,but at heavy its yet to be seen if hes carried it with him so I went with Abarham. Also i doubt Haye will be the puncher he was at cruiser. History tells us even the guys who have succesfully moved up are not the big bombers they were as light heavys or cruisers. Moorer (great puncher at Lh good puncher at heavy) Holyfield (excellent puncher at cruiser Decent puncher at Heavy) Spinks(greatpuncher at light Heavy average decent at best at heavy). Its the equivalent of a lightweight carrying their power up to Middleweight.
I'm not sure its quite that far. There have been very very few lightweights that made it all the way to middle with any kind of punch power. Cruiserweights are still big men, 200lb men.
You are probably right cuz any good punching 200lb can knock out a good big heavy with the right shot.But i did the math on this and 84% of 237 (about average Heavywt more or less) is 200 pounds, 84% of 160 is 134.4 lbs Lightweightdeal But I do agree that a cruiser is still a big man compare to lightweight,but mathmetically its the same. Duran was a great puncher at lightweigt and decent puncher at Middle same with Oscar.
AA, and it´s not really that close.Haye has Power, Haye has a good KO ratio, but a good Ko ratio has nothing to do with having the hardest punch.The way AA knocks people into oblivion with one punch is just sick.
Anyone who thinks David Haye can't punch is a ****ing idiot. The man wields SERIOUS power, even at heavyweight.
Also, for the record I know Tua is 235lbs but even P4P surely he's gotta be up there? Those shots he finished Shane Cameron off with were dirty....
