Haha. Nah, it's over. I'm happy to let these morons keep talking like they're medical experts. The fact none of these ****s had even mentioned PEDs as the remotest issue before the back end of last year tells me all I need to know.

Yes, we all want to see the big fight but get a ****ing grip.

    "you're just another ESB **** talking ****"

    "Just stop writing, you fool"

"it's awful the way people like you are fuelling this idiotic discussion"

accepted about Conte but if you listen to the whole programme you have Mick Costello and Steve Bunce discussing it, and the guy from the US anti doping agency saying 14 days is not enough.

your the one who put a match to this thread. you asked me "What drugs, Rob, what drugs? I want specifics" which I did, EPO.

From articles i have read I have put forward that EPO can benefit a boxer within 14 days of a fight and go undetected within 24 hours, which means the testing is pointless.

I have continually asked you to show me something that contradicts this you just slag me or and ESB posters off.

what pisses me off about this forum is that every time I give an opinion someone disagrees with they go of on one like you have. When this happens I always give more detail into my thoughts process, and ALWAYS ask for the posters to give a response on why they disagree with me rather than petty insults.....and guess what they rarely come back with anything other than more insults or just fail to respond. I had a guy the other day tell me i was a "****ing moron" for scoring Marquez/Vazquez 3 by one point to Marquez.

this is a boxing forum. if you don't want someone to say anything you don't like, create the Dan forum, create user-Dan 1 and user-Dan 2 and just send messages to one another about how great you are.

This is going of topic slightly now, but this is the last time I am going to mention the "drug testing" and i am going to get it all out in one go.

there was no reason for the topic of drug testing to be brought up before december. honestly i have only been closely following boxing for 3-4 years, and i was under the impression that the testing was seriously strict, random blood and urine right up to the fight which is what you would expect from a sport where you can get killed. i thought nobody was doing it and thats why it was rare to hear about someone testing positive, when actually its more likely that the testing is just a pile of ****. and even when they do test positive or admit to taking band substances, they are let of the hook. In my opinion Roy Jones Jnr, James Toney and Shane Mosley are in the same category as Antonio Margorito. Ali Funeka and Juilio Cesar Chavez Jnr tested positive in there last fights this year, both will box again in 2010.

i can understand why people don't like the Mayweathers. Floyd snr is a former drug dealer, crook the lot. He is not an educated or articulate man but there is one thing he knows and that is boxing and on ALL boxing matters his opinion is credible. Floyd Jnr may be insisting on testing for personal gain, he may genuinely be scared of Manny, and other wrong reasons and not an attempt to clean up the sport which he claims, but if we end up with random blood testing as standard for major world title fights it is still a good thing. it would still be cleaning up the sport.

the standard of performance enhancing drugs is incredible and the science that goes into creating them continues to be better than the science that goes into detecting them. to think with such a basic level of testing, and such a high level of drug, that it is not being used in boxing by a significant number of fighters would be nieve. to completely disregard the notion that certain drugs can not be beneficial a week before a fight, or cannot go undetected after 24 hours is also nieve.

Am I suspicious of Manny Pacquiao after all this. Unfortunately yes. Some of the reasons for not taking random blood tests that have come from himself, his team and trainers have been alarmingly weak. His strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza has been involved in steroid scandals before, and his coach Freddie Roach has trained fighters that have tested positive for banded substances. By not taking the test it has cost him $30mil. I am not saying that Pacquiao is 100% doing anything wrong, but there is doubt on my mind and unfortunately it makes me question his achievements.

i don't really understand what the argument is against Mayweather. people saying he should go by the testing of the Nevada commission, because even a die hard Pacquiao fan would agree that the level of testing is not good enough. They say why change it for this fight, why not, its the biggest fight in 20 years why not set a precedent. People are saying he has ulterior motives, it really doesn't matter if we get the right result.

Pacquiao may feel weak after having blood withdrawn, but he is a PROFESIONAL athlete and he should accept that a high standard of drug testing is needed.

1)Would i rather see Mayweather vs Pacquiao with full random blood testing up to the day of the fight.....YES.

    2) Would boxing be a better sport if all World title fight boxers had to undergo random testing.......YES.

anyone that disagrees with the last two points.........then in the words of my mate Dan "your just another ESB **** talking ****"

14 day cut off is pointless, and no one has yet made me feel otherwise

Good post, but, nearly everyone will forget about OST once Pac/Floyd is over. You know that deep down too. People's motivation for seeing stricter testing is purely so we can see the big fight.

What would be better is that Floyd abides by the rules every other boxer with a licence adheres to and the commissions think "mmmm, that big fight nearly fell out of bed because of this, let's change the rules."

i agree. i have never wanted to see a fight more than this one, but i would rather it never happened and the drug testing standards improved. I would rather see the drug testing standard improve then for there to be one sanctioning body.

One sanctioning body will save the sport.

Pac doesn't need to agree to anything, Mayweather does not have the right to dictate terms, and come out with his own drug testing procedures. Pac has a better legacy, Mayweather can continue fighting chumps.

You're becoming far more liberal with your use of smilies, you're branching out ;)

Completely irrelevant but this thread is boring.

I'd noticed other people using the "This:deal" in a few other threads, quite liked it and decided to use it myself when the occasion arose.

Not my point, I just think it shows I agree entirely with the points Dan made in his post without further need for comment or clarification from myself.:deal

Oh so you do use the 'deal' smilie correctly. I've noticed many people use it to add weight to their argument.

    Like...

Pac is on PED's, Mayweather is a fraud cherrypicker :deal
