I'm going to compile a list of fighters with the list Nallege gave me and match them to your criteria. The guys he gave were quality fighters but I have my doubts whether a matchup would have been possible since some of those guys were either past their prime or would have to face Pacquiao in his teenage years.

I have my doubts that Junior Jones who was already shot after losses to McKinney and Morales and Bungu who lost to the so called bum in Ledwaba were at that point in their careers worthy adversaries to Pacquiao. Not to mention the fact that they seriously outweighed Pacquiao during their prime years.

Note that I might get lazy in doing this work and you might only receive it when no one remembers what the original point of the argument was anymore :yep

nah man you're talking about the Macau fight but right after Pac beat Barrera his team wanted to fight In Jin Chi for the WBC Featherweight title but JMM came in with a big money offer while In Jin Chi was busy rematching Michael Brodie cause he couldn't take care of him the first time.

Glad to school you on your history :good

and by the way by the time the Macau fight was gonna go down, In Jin Chi was already done and to top it off he would have had to move up to 130. Even Solis would have beaten him.

I think he could have fought Zahir Raheem if Pac moved up in weight to 135. Raheem blew it though when he lost to Popo. Plus a lot of Ring Rust occured since the Morales fight for Raheem. He was screwed over by Arum for not keeping him busy.

I guess you missed Nate Campbell, Timothy Bradley, Zahir Raheem, Tim freakin Austin calling him out.

But that's okay, we have Bobby Pac who obliterated an over the hill Kevin Kelley so the point of this thread is mute.

The top 5 black fighters under 135 in the past 10 years (that were still at or near their prime). 1. FLoyd Mayweather 2. Joel Casamayor (Cuban of black descent) 3. Ivan Calderon (Puerto Rican of Black descent) 4. Joan Guzman (Dominican of Black descent) 5. (Tie) Stevie Johnson/Tim Austin

....others who were just past their prime include Too Sharp Johnson, Junior Jones, Kevin Kelly...as good as Nate Campbell is; he isnt even among the top 5 or 7 black fighters under 135 in the past 10 years. He is probably ahead of Raheem and Derrick Gainer, but behind Freddie Norwood. Most of these fights could not have been made, because by the time Pac-man got to the 130-135's, the elite black fighters were old (Johnson, Gainer, Casamayor) or had moved up (Floyd Mayweather).

The two or three fights that could have been made were probably against Tim Austin/Mark "Too Sharp Johnson" around 2000-2002. I would have acutally favored both to beat the pre-Roach Pacquiao who had many defensive liabilites. I also think that a Guzman fight at 130 would have been awesome, Pac would have been the favorite but I would have given Guzman a big shot at pulling the upset with his limitless boxing skills, and overall ring generalship.

Its impossible for Campbell to call out Pacman because they were both always scheduled to fight someone else.

    Raheem neer called out Pacquiao

Bradley just recently did it after the Holt win

and Austin was just looking for a last paycheck after losing to Marquez 2 weight divisions below pacman at the time

Pac was gunning for a prime In Jin Chi in early 2004, what makes you think Pac would duck a past prime In Jin Chi in 2007 after he knocked out Morales twice?

Nope he wasn't done.. Chi was coming off a victory over Rudy Lopez with his new WBC title..

Solis would have beaten him? :nut

Yea Pacman knocked out an over the hill morales 2x.. No big deal..

He made all that noise about Macau and ran off at the last minute for an unknown Solis..

Zahir called out Pac after the Morales fight. He even offered to fight him at 130 or a catch weight. since Pac's first fight at 130 was against Morales. Wouldnt' have made sense to fight Raheem at the time if you lose your first fight at 130.

Zahir looked really good against a shot Morales. Morales couldn't get anything off that night and was begging Raheem to brawl with him.

    I must of missed that

I do remember Raheem saying he would fight the winner of Pac/EM II on ESPN the friday before the fight, he just seemed quiet after the fight, thought maybe he changed his mind.

Lopez was never that good to begin with and Chi lost his fight just before that to Koshimoto who also wasn't that good. The truth might hurt but you can't get around it, Pac wanted to fight a prime Chi in 2004 at featherweight but ended up fighting JMM for a bigger purse. By 2007 Chi was done. In fact he hasn't fought a fight since 2006.
