It really depends on which Pac and which Floyd shows up.... Pac didn't look like be could beat Floyd with how close his fight with JMM was....but Floyd had more trouble with Floyd than I ever expected last night with Miguel....I saw the same thing in spots when Floyd faced Victor until he completely lost it and Floyd took advantage of an opportunity to end the fight on the spot.

It's just real funny how when Cotto was mentioning a rematch with Manny how a lot of Floyd fans were saying Cotto was shot....but when Floyd got the fight those same fans began saying the same you did about Miguel being "healthy, motivated and strong".

Funny thing is before Pac completely dominated and stopped Miguel, the same group of fans were calling for Manny to be KO'd and exposed by Cotto, but immediately afterwards started with the excuse train... I just find the trend hilarious.

Great fight by both Floyd and Miguel....Floyd won clearly but it was competitive and Cotto was in the fight throughout ...Floyd's defense was the deciding factor and showed he has a lot of heart, but also is just like Pac.....beatable.

I hope Floyd comes off his demands of taking 100% of the PPV money because if he doesn't it simply means he doesn't want to fight Pac.

Agreed. Cotto also didn't look damn tired in the later rds after trying to make weight against Mayweather. Can't say the same for Pacq

They fight nothing alike which is why people sound stupid trying to implement that strategy for Pacq against Mayweather.

There, dissected your theories and again Pacquiao would never use what worked for Cotto or Castillo to trouble Floyd. He still beat them too BTW. Too many dimensions to Floyd's game though no ones unbeatable.

Correct. And comparing Clottey to Floyd is very laughable.

Cotto wasnt drained for the Pac fight. He was fighting at a comfortable weight and was as confident as his fans who were calling for Miguel to be the one to end the Pac-mania that was growing exponentially...Ironically Cotto was the fight that blew the whole Pac epidemic wide open.

At 147 the fighters wear 8 oz gloves...Cotto was still a lot bigger than Pac on fight night and still "the guy" who was going to "destroy" Pac because Miguel wasn't "a drained DLH" or a "1 Dimensional Ricky Hatton" or a "paid off Josh Clottley":rofl

**** is embarrassing with the length some fans will go to find excuses just to "hate". its like they have an IV with "HATER-ADE" on tap.

    :patsch

You think so? I wonder what kind of big improvement Cotto has developed to beat Pacquioa except for the power.. :think

You think Cotto's added power is enough to beat Pac? :huh

    I don't think that's much of a difference.. :deal

Pac lost his last fight and Mayweather won his last. End of story.

Actually both Pac and Floyd won their last fights....:smoke most consider JMM a better fighter than Miguel so its a little easier to accept Juan making it a close fight with Pac but everyone expected Floyd to dominate Cotto.

As if Floyd dominates the fight.. :bart

And they are on different levels.. Pac fought the best, and defeated the best in a more convincing fashion (except JMM).. And Floyd ducked the best and won easier fights (except Cotto)..

In terms of fighting the best, Pac is a level ahead of Floyd..

In terms of skillset, Pacquioa is the better offensive boxer and Mayweather is the better defensive boxer.. I wonder which is better, Pac's relentless offense or Floyd's tough defense.. :think

    :huh

Cotto never complained about this, so this is irrelevant.. 10z gloves on welterweight division? :think

Cotto is not a natural JMW.. Its just that, he can't share a division with Pacquioa.. :deal

Haven't heard of fights @154 with 8 oz gloves.. :yep

Donaire has been draining himself all throughout his career and is accused of fighting guys not his size.. While Pac on the on the other hand has been accused of fighting guys draining themselves just to make the weight.. :think

I wonder if you could win fights with the weight control alone.. :smoke

    Another failed analysis..

You can ask Cotto about Pac on the inside.. But wait, he chose to run after a couple of rounds so the answer is obvious.. :smoke
