    Yes it is.

Two non Americans getting 700k in the US is a good number.

More Americans will obviously pay to see an American fight, I mean Tyson did 1.5 million for his come back against MCNEELEY ffs!

The only reason Arum was able to get a 50/50 split the last time was because Mayweather wanted the drug testing. Otherwise it would have been 60/40. The PPV numbers from Floyd/Shane will dwarf the numbers from Pac/Cotto. PPV numbers from Floyd/JMM beat Pac/Clottey by 350K. Floyd/Hatton beat Pac/Hatton by 50-100K domestically by what source you use. That's not even including the 2:1 PPV beatdown overseas between those two fights. Oscar/Floyd beat Oscar/Pac by almost 2:1 domestically and almost 3:1 overseas.

Arum and Pac blew it big time in the last negotiation and now if Floyd wins he will say I have outsold you in each comparative scenario you can use, I'm the man at the WW since I beat Shane for his WBA title. Floyd is going to say 60/40 and drug testing. He may give the 14 day option but that's it. What argument can Arum and Pac use for leverage? Nothing that's why they either accept the terms or walk away.

  3. Where do you find international numbers?

    JMM/Diaz - less than 200K
    JMM/Casamayor - 100K

This after he fought Pacquiao the second time. JMM is not a draw period.

700K is a good number! will be good to see some other PPV numbers to see if there is a upward trend again and that boxing is becoming more liked again by the masses!

Also if May does beat Shane imagine the numbers May vs Pac could generate with the correct promotion I could see more than 2.5 million!

Both guys are huge stars right now! Lets hope they stay around it's good for the sport!

Given the opponent, it is a solid figure.

    Look 700K is very good

But for the "best draw in the sport" it's only okay.

I think a lot of people expect every Pac and Mayweather fight to AT least do a million from here on out.

And they will if they use 24/7... This show sells and brings in audiences and causes talk around casual fans for a month leading to the fight.... At this point Pac is second to Mayweather... but you can't forget that GBP marketing and Top Rank promoting as of recent events have been like comparing Minivans to Hummers.

Check the telegraph newspaper dated 12-19-2007. It was the largest buyrate in the history of the UK topping the 750K between Tyson-Lewis.

24/7 wouldn't of done much for this fight even if they were able to do it.
