Manny did not impress me this past weekend against Shane.

I had him winning 11-1 in rounds but he was exposed to being open for right hands. His movement was good but nothing spectacular.

I also thought he was gonna beat mosley up, not just beat him...that didn't happen.

I think Manny was a bit exposed at times..kinda of like how Clottey exposed him at times (when he'd throw that is)...

I noticed that Pacquiao was open to some right hands too....

All in all he did not show me what I thought I was going to see...I thought I was going to see the beast that came out on Cotto...

Pac UD 114-112 Marquez on the next one

exposed by clottey? he lost every round..some 10-8. manny let him land three uppercuts all night.

    go back to bed.

Pac is at his best when he is getting attack. Mosley went on a ***** mode after he felt the FILIPINO POWER in the 3rd round:lol: Pac fought smart by being careful and not letting mosley land any big shots. Pac was never in trouble in that fight.

It was a boring fight but pac dominated. If marquez fights pac he's getting TKO:deal

I haven't read one person criticising Manny's footwork at the fight acknowledge or even write off his claim of cramps in the left leg.

Is Manny alllowed one bad night at the office?

And if so - Is winning every round and scoring a knockdown a sign of someone having a bad night that dramatic?

    back to the topic though...

MANNY PACQUIAO SHOWED TECHNICAL FLAWS AGAINST SHANE MOSLEY..

WHAT IM MAINLY REFERENCING IS THE FACT THAT SHANE WAS ABLE TO MOVE OUT OF THE WAY OF A LOT OF PUNCHES...

I THINK A BETTER COUNTER PUNCHER WOULD BE ABLE TO RETURN A STRAIGHT HAND OR A JAB WHERE AS SHANE WAS NOT ABLE TO DO THIS.

Not too hard to do when you have almost zero interest in engaging, especially after being knocked down.

does a cramped left leg preventing one from getting into position/being able to exert the leverage on his punches factor into your analysis?

Never said he had a bad night...just looked like he got a bit exposed....he was not connecting punches he normally lands on guys like Margarito, Clottey, Hatton, and Cotto...

It seemed that the little bit of movement that shane did give him made him "a bit off"...

I think a better counterpuncher and boxer could do a lot more to his style. Shane was able to do some stuff nobody else has been able to which is move out of the way at times...

Ironically, it's a lot like Mora-Mosley...except with Mosley in the Mora role and Pacquiao in the Mosley role.

One guy was extremely negative, and deserves the most blame for how shitty the fight was. The other was just terribly ineffective at figuring out how to punish that guy for his negativity, and could barely score cleanly.

Also similar to Arce-Ler. Only one guy trying to make the fight, and clearly winning but not looking great because of a combination of his own ineffectiveness and the other guy's negativity and refusal to engage.

    fair enough then..

it was the cramped left leg...honestly that backs up why shane was able to mvoe a little more and get out of the way of more punches...

    Nice post!
