man, you need to stop crying. pac gets all kind of credit from the public and the media.
every fighter has their group of haters, especially the big time fighters, tyson, ali, dlh, srl etc. it comes with the territory.

is it unwarranted, probably so. but everybody has an opinion, no matter how dumb and irrational it is.

and p.s. hatton, cotto, and dlh were fine choices, but how many people really wanted to see margarito and clottey?

Im not so much Crying FFS im just stating that if PBF gave you fights against Cotto or Margo he would be getting much love.

Its only the Floyd fans making this into a Hate Forum.

The General Forum makes me sick sometimes.

I mean i cant remember Roy Jones getting hate like this.

I'm neither a Floyd fan nor a Manny fan.

I want both of them to retire because I'm sick of hearing of them.

At no point in the last five years (or ever) has any "dream fight" of mine involved either one of them.

I'd have preferred that Floyd had stayed at welterweight and done his best toward cleaning out all the top talent there, once he first arrived at 147.

I'd have preferred that Manny had stayed at lightweight and done his best toward cleaning out all the top talent there, once he first arrived at 135.

As it is, I regard both as circus acts in how they have conducted their careers in the last few years and don't pay nearly as much attention to the two of them as to the rest of the sport (which is much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much, much bigger than both of them combined).

are you serious? jones and mayweather are two of the most criticized fighters here. now both guys brought alot of it on themselves by being selective about picking opponents to fight, but fact is, people **** on them, especially jones nowadays. and once again, most people did not want to see a margarito fight. clottey turned out to be a huge let down as well.

Int Butt you really would prefer

Pac wins over Nate Campbell, Joan Guzman, Michael Katsidis, Humberto Soto instead of
    Oscar Dela Hoya
    Ricky Hatton
    Miguel Cotto
    Josh Clottey
    Antonio Margarito

    Yes.

I don't care about big names or who's more of a PPV draw.

I care about competitive fights where both guys are roughly the same size and there are no size-related advantages or room for excuses either way (whether the advantage has to do with being bigger and stronger than your opponent, or having your opponent be weight-drained).

Campbell would have been an underdog even back around the time Pacquiao fought Diaz. If it took him until 2009 or 2010 to fight Campbell I wouldn't want to see it. At that point it would be as much of a farce as any of his welterweight fights, as that dude is shot. But Guzman, Katsidis, Soto, Valero, Marquez a 3rd time, etc. - those would have all preferable to what he's done.

yeah it was sad to see. had jones retired after beating ruiz, people would have have been giving him the same praise as pac is now getting. but to be honest, jones screwed himself in many ways throughout his career.

Out of those fights though i felt the only one that was truely weight drained was ODH.

The rest were fine making weight.

Even Cotto looked in great shape.

And Margo looked ****ing in the best shape in years.

Youre going to extreme with this I dont care about seeing this fight man. You seriously would have Pac fight a low risk low reward fights at 135?? What is this ****? You cant be serious.

I was begging for them not to fight Margarito and the same thing if they fight Mosley and even Marquez at 147

Chimba i would be thinking probably what Freddie Roach thought after the David Diaz fight.

That if he stays at 135 and clean out the division he could possible hurt one of these guys so bad the end up in a coma or worse.

I mean look at the battering some of these huge guys took and with the chins they have.

I mean imagine a fight with Soto now.
Or even Casamayor 2 years ago.
Or Campbell some one might have got seriously hurt.

I felt Roach knew this thats why the kept moving him up as much as he could.

Could see Soto taking the beating Margo just sustained and surviving.

Being hated is the price Floyd pays when he plays the villain role to be the biggest revenue generator in the sport. He did take the Mosley, someone everyone wanted him to fight and was the best welterweight at the time, fight, but everyone just quickly overlooks it.

Floyd is the type of guy who will get credit a few years into retirement.

Not only that, I mean Pac vs. Katsidis?? for how damn much?? $500k purse. I mean lets be realistic, this is boxing and IB has lost the finance side of it. He expects Pac to take on Campbell instead of DLH because that would not bring out fans and it wont make money? **** boxing is dead as it is and all Pac has done in the last two years is try to bring it back.

IB is cool though, hes loves MMA so hes got ulterior motive:think
