You do realize that when a fighter can no longer pull the trigger it means he is shot, No Manny could not have beat DLH in his prime your a ****ing idiot for thinking that ****, he couldnt beat Marquez in the first fight after three knock downs he had his ass whipped by Morales and was stopped twice as well prior to that a prime DLH would destroy Pac are you ****ing crazy?

Fuk out of here:lol:. The Dlh that fought Tito annhilates Pac at 147. Dlh was old, and until you admit this, you will be an embarrassment to this forum. Dlh fighting at 154 gives a much better showing than the 147 lb Dlh. Pac is a better fighter than Dlh? Dlh fought 20 times the prime fighters Pac faced, and you call Pac better...please. Fuk out of here lol... Ike Quartey would beat the shite out of Pac...

because dela hoya wanted the fight as much as Pac does. Dlh needed a career rejuvinating fight, and Pac was popular enough to do that. Pac needed DLH for the big payday, and for the additional exposure. But because of the tremendous difference in weight. DLH been fighting at 154 and Pac at 130, they had to meet somewhere. And thats 147. Its different with Cotto or anybody else at 147 because the situation is different. Pac now is the draw, and he is much smaller than most of these guys who probably weigh in at 160 on fight night. Pac may weigh 148 the last time, but he is mainly adding weight just to even out the mass factor for him to absorb his opponents punches.

Dlh fought Pac and Floyd. Dlh got what he deserved against PAc. Dlh thought he could turn back the clock, and he couldn't. Dlh fought Floyd pretty good. Dlh fought both guys on his terms and lost. Nobody wants to see Cotto-Pac at a catch weight. Pac does not need a catch weight to defeat Cotto.

I don't see what much of the argument is about. Here are some facts.

    1) DLH has not been the same since Hopkins. In his return against Mayorga we can see a noticeable lapse in speed. He kept the fight close against Mayweather, but keeping up with a fighter and beating a fighter are not the same thing.

    2) A year can make a lot of difference in a fading fighter's life.

    3) Roach just said the reason he wanted Hoya at 147 and why the same would not apply with Mosley is because Mosley is better than Hoya. These are his own words. Roach has always been blunt honest about Hoya since day 1.

Oh i get it, you hate Cotto so much that you underestimate him so much. We are not talking about Margarito, Williams or any WW fighter that is naturally a middleweight. Pac may be a great fighter, but he is not a natural WW, he may actually come in the ring weighing like a WW. Cotto is no pushover, and will be very dangerous even at 145. because after the weigh in, he will rehydrate as usual and will give his 100%

it's simple. coz de la hoya's max weight was 160.. i would be impossible to ask him to cut down to 145. and what weight do you think manny shouldve fought him? 154? cmon man.

if dela hoya is really that good, the fight could have ended in a decision..Why he cant accept the defeat??its because he was made to believe that he is a good fighter but the truth is he didnt faced fighters as good as Pac thats why he looked as one of the best fighters of the last decade..

Because there was no way in hell DLH was going to be able to weigh in at 140.
