That is if Floyd would grow balls to fight him. At this point, he's making all the excuses not to fight him.
I think JMM will beat floyd... JMM-PAC III is my dream fight! I won't be surprise if JMM beats him clearly. Even if floyd wins he won't fight pac coz he's gonna price himself out, thats why i want JMM to win coz i know he will fight pac.
A third JMM-Pac fight definitely would'nt happen under your scenario...... 1. A clear win over Mayweather for JMM would mean proof he's still got plently left in the tank...... 2. Arum both fears and hates JMM and his entire team, particularly Nacho Beristain who refused to let Arum dry hump him....Arum is still frustrated over not being able to relieve himself on Nacho..... 3. Roach fears JMM 4. Pac fears JMM....last I heard of him talking about a possible JMM fight he said, "anytime, anywhere.".....and that quote was over a year ago..... 5. Arum has been quoted as saying that even if a possible fight between JMM and Pac were to be negotiated, Pac would'nt accept anything less than a 75/25 split of the purse, even with Marquez beating Mayweather.......that sounds to me like a pre-emptive strike to price themselves out..... Sorry folks, but Marquez would make more money fighting Mosley at a 60/40 cut in his favor, and would have an honest and legit chance at getting a decision against him as well.
If JMM loses close or not don't expect Pacquiao to show interest and for logical reasons, there are better options out there than someone he already beat and fought twice in JMM. Terms with Mayweather will eventually happen, there's no way HBO will let this one slip through without happening as it's the biggest/best fight in boxing right now and nothing comes close. If you are right and terms with Mayweather don't go through then expect a fight with Mosley or Cotto, if those guys can't make 140 and it doesn't happen then Roach already said that they also have no issues retiring.
3. JMM loses, Pac beats Mayweather, JMM gets a couple more decent wins to build his name back up, and they rematch due to a lack of names at 140. 4. JMM loses, Pac loses to Mayweather, the vanquished fight each other. Until I'm proven wrong though, I still think JMM is too small for 140, and way too small for 144. He looked too small for 135 even. The higher the weight the fight is at, the bigger of an advantage it would be for Pacquiao, who seems to grow with his extra weight.
His return is obviously for Pacquiao and his choice of opponent being JMM(a former Pacquiao foe) should confirm it to you. Pacquiao's last two opponents are Mayweather's last two opponents too. You also do realise that Mayweather is scheduled to have a fight, right?, do you expect him to break out of training camp and confirm that he will fight Marquez, Pacquiao and Mosley all on the same night? Remember when Pacquiao was being asked about future opponents when he was scheduled to fight Hatton?, what was his response?, "Right now I dont' want to talk about the future because I still have a fight coming up and my focus is 100% on that". So according to your logic Pacquiao has zero balls too. Mayweather was honest enough to come out and let people know that his next main targets, if he wins, are Pacquiao and Mosley. Might as well wait for him to get his next fight done before discussing his future which was also confirmed to be FIVE fights he signed for.
Its really the only realistic scenario for Pac to agree to fight Marquez.......the downside is that it would'nt be the anticipated fight it would be if it were held now. Exactly, the fight wont happen until it does'nt mean anything anymore......kind of like the third Duran-Leonard fight, a complete joke of a fight.
I don't think you speak for JMM on his future fights w/ these ***** opinions of yours. This guy has been following Pac for years and it is on record that he was beaten by Pac once. It is also on record that he got knocked down 4 times in their two fights. Don't underestimate the courage of your idol. JMM, a true warrior, wants to exact revenge on his tormentor. He admitted in Ring Magazine that "I cannot consider myself great until I beat Pacquiao." If ever he wins, Marquez will not pass up this opportunity to finally assert his superiority and earn biggest money at the tailend of his career. This is what the fans want which he has kept on repeating like an mantra. Pacquiao is not avoiding him. He is one of Pac's fight options if Floyd prices himself out. Having fought him twice, Pac should be last person to be branded as fearful of JMM. Marquez should not disappoint his fans and all fans in general. Otherwise, it will be construed that he is the real ducker. I don't think he will not risk fighting Mosley. He's a low reward, big risk fighter. Fighting Pac makes more sense than anyone in the welterweight.
