De La Hoya made a whole lot more than Floyd in their fight, and clearly Oscar no longer is Floyd's caliber. It's about who draws the money, and Manny brings a lot more to the table than Marquez.

A 60/40 split sounds right, although I do wish Manny sounded more determined to make the fight happen.

Dela Hoya was the champ and it was for his belt. Nice try though

Hatton has way more fans than PBF so lets just give whoever has more fans more money:patsch

Dumbass, JMM is no Floyd. Floyd has fought far bigger names in his resume and has a solid fanbase himself.

Pac is the far bigger draw than JMM. Pac can fight any fighter and it will still be PPV.

A 60-40 split would probably mean the highest purse ever for JMM, who not long ago had to travel to Indonesia to fight for USD30K

JMM isn't a draw at all. The only time he is on PPV is when he fights a big named opponent. His fight with Barrera even produced lower PPV sales than Juarez-Barrera.

Pac is the recognized ring champ in the division. The WBC belt that JMM is holding is just another belt.

But I suspect you already know this.

I hope Pacquaio doesn't move to 135lbss. It's clear there's still some unfinished business with Marquez. Until the rematch happens & the winner emerges, no one can call themselves the best at SFW.

Not only Marquez, but there's scope for some big fights for Manny at 130lbs. You got Valero, winner of Guzman-Soto etc.

Shame if those fights do not happen.

Then again, all this may be academic, as it appears Manny now struggles to make 130lbs, so he may just decide to move up & that's that!

No one gives a **** about the belts. Floyd is universallly viewed as PfP No. 1, and thus on merit he should gain the lion's share of the purse. Or maybe you could argue 50/50, since he was coming up in weight.

But it wasn't close, and Floyd had to take what he was offered, because Oscar is the draw.

    You're being silly.

Floyd has a solid fanbase:rofl :rofl :rofl

You get my point but your pride will allow you to argue empty notions.
As long as you know your superhero is trying to skip out on this fight, he even said he going up in weight and Marquez said Ill fight you there and now this.......yea if you cant stand the heat stay out the kitchen little Pinoy. You already got recked once.

Your being silly. Floyd couldnt sell out a gym but yet gets alot more then Hatton. Why? Because he's the champ thats why. But hey you cant explain anything to a biased fan, luckly I dont like neither one so I see the truth here

Sounds like BS to me. Pac was already slated to get the higher purse as a 57%-43% spilt was agreed on before JMM took on Juarez. They agreed in principle, and both sides accepted! The fights over and now he comes out w/this. The fact that he single JMM out means he's hesitant. Pac is making it more than obvious that it's about the money right now, not opponent, and legacy! Between him and Arum I'm convinced he'd fight a 10yr for $5mil if it was sanctioned!

Pac hugger said that JMM would price himself out and want parity, but that not the case, so now what's the excuse. At some point it should be about more than the money, and I know some of you huggers can't realize or see that as your heads are buried deep in pac ass, or you're eyes are tightly shut as you consume his juices! I think 57/43 is more than fair. JMM is the Champion, and these guys literally have unfinished business. Problem is that it seems only JMM is interested in finishing it, while Pac is only interested in money!

Pac will use his name and drawing power to purposely wiggle out of a fight w/JMM, and then unfortunately for him if he moves up he will get beat and lose his fizz while JMM unifies at 130lbs. He won't need Pac, and if they do negotiate again you can best believe if JMM doesn't like what he sees he'll leave Pac hanging! Pac will certainly lose his bargaining power, and unifying a division against the fighters at 130lbs is more important legacy wise than fighting a guy who made it all about money, and at the end of the day ultimately did nothing at 130lbs except fight guys coming off losses which happen to be all he's known for there!

Pac's 130lb resume will be passed off as very much less than stellar, mediocre at best and overrated! If he fights JMM he can change that! Pac needs to stop hiding behind the money issues!

Yup... if he's really insistent in getting the bigger share of the purse then he can kiss his 7 figure check goodbye. This is probably his last chance to get it!

Pac, Come face the guy that owned you boy. YOu couldnt beat this guy with a four round lead, so I understand why you and your do boy fans are scared! Let him run too Lightweight and run head first into the beast Juan Diaz and be pummled to a nice Pinoy Pie.

Ps...Marquez beat Barrera too and we all know Morales dont want none of him so how did Pac work harder than him? Pac has been fighting the same 2 guys for 2 1/2 years already

    :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl

Thats why Marquez is willing to chase him too Lightweight too fight him right. Pac will get less to run away from JM to face David Diaz which he will beat and then what.......get served to the lion Juan, but I guarantee he then will be willing to fight Marquez. You Pac huggers are something else....a rare breed

Old legends. Can I remind you he was taking apart by the guy in question. The only thing that saved him was three flash knockdowns. Than it was all downhill from there and also explains why he's RUNNING SCARED. Oh and to my memory Morales beat him the first time didnt he.....yea thats right.

Well the way I see it is, they left JMM hanging the 1st time w/out even attempting to negotiate! Now w/the previously agreed on 57/43 he's backing out and asking for more, and I just don't think they will even attempt to negotiate another figure. I think he'll jump at any other fight outside of JMM! I hope they don't just stop negotiating and look elsewhere. I hope there's an honest attempt to make the fight happen early next yr. They're right there close at 57/43, how more will it take, or does he just not want the fight. Can't blame JMM like everyone tried the 1st time!:nono

The 1st time wasn't even JMM overpricing himself, it was Nacho who felt both fighters deserved more money, and Arum stiffed them. The huggers try and twist around but you can't ignore how it really went down to fit an agenda!:nono

Let's hope the come to terms and everyone gets what they've been wanting for a couple yrs now!!
