Floyd is also 150 pounds soaking wet. He was 150.5 for the weigh ins and 150 on the night of the canelo fight. He's not a Light Middleweight, he's not a middleweight, he's an average sized welterweight.
This TBE nonsense is being taken far too seriously. It's nothing but a promotional ploy and a magnet of controversy. Mayweather has been using it since 2007 and it's still working like it's brand new. People forget that even before the De La Hoya fight, when Mayweather introduced 24/7, he spammed "I'm greater than Sugar Ray Robinson and Ali" comments to give 24/7 the publicity it needs and further hype the upcoming event. The same is happening again and people continue to soil themselves in absolute rage.
Read Blaze's post, you could learn a thing or two. You do realize that Manny was 16 when he started right? While Floyd was 19. That's a huge difference. Use your common sense. Floyd beating DLH, Oscar, and Canelo at LMW is far better than Manny beating a drained marg at 150.
People fight for Vacant belts all the time. If Manny doesn't get credit because of a catchweight then neither does Floyd.
Canelo was drained much more than Marg. Canelo literally looked like a Tim Burton character on the scales.
Marg was coming off being knocked out, not being able to use his cheating gloves, and he looked like a skeleton. I wouldn't say he was "much" more drained, Marg was far taller than Canelo. Also remember, Canelo weighed in at 153 in the previous fight. :good
If he knocks out Floyd he'll be even more revered and will certainly climb many places higher on the ATG list. People wouldn't even talk about that marquez knockout because he would have redeemed himself by doing something no one else on the planet ever did. I will cry with joy if he knocks out Mayweather.
Well before the Roberto Garcia tune up. The Roberto Garcia fight was pointless, he was never at the elite level. Marg was basically done after the Mosley fight was my point.
