You know what, I really didn't even consider Mayweather a power puncher at 130 lbs. He was never a KO artist. However, he's very accurate with his punches and doesn't waste movement. However, if look at the Gerena fight or the Augustus or even Corrales fights, you can see that he wasn't a big puncher even at 130. Regardless, he would put a hurtin on Pac.

Clashing of the heads between a southpaw and orthodox fighter is very likely, especially when one (in this case, the southpaw) comes forward.

Floyd by UD unless a clashing of the heads occurs.

yup! Floyd takes this. its his best division. Pac's best IMO was at 122.

    PBF TKO 7-11 or UD12

i am sorry pacdbest but we fellow pacfans should concede when it comes to this matchup

mayweather at 130lbs, has solid chin, superior defense and offense, and he's really fast at this weight

at 135lbs. i don't know, maybe PBF UD12.. but PBF still wins

as great as floyd is at 130, do you think he could beat arguello at 130 especially in a 15 rounds match?

actually, this line was always used to analyze some of these fantasy match-ups with pac against naturally bigger man than him like floyd, camacho and castillo. i remember that when floyd fought corrales, his fight night weight was around 136 pounds while most of pac's weight at fight night at 130 is around 143-145. i just can't see why some uses this argument? maybe floyd is more skilled and/or more good defensively is a better argument but certainly not bigger.

hmm... u may be right but regardless it doesnt change the outcome.....and what i meant by bigger was mayweather fought with oscar at 150 and won.....can u see pac doing that?....i cant he's just too little in my eyes.. just like someone else said earlier pac's best weight was around 122....mayweathers in imo was 130, so for those 2 reasons.....he's bigger in my eyes.....but regardless like i said, mayweather outclasses pac,(unfortunately).....faster hands, better deffense, sharper more accurate punches.......definitly cant see the guy losing

i understand it clearly. people maybe are thinking of their natural weight even if a fantasy match-up was stated at a certain weight.

probably yes.. arguello had some trouble with boxers who move very well.. floyd might trouble arguello.. but there is also a possibility that due to his reach he would patiently keep mayweather at the end of his jab and stalk him.. there is still a possibility that mayweather would get caught by arguello...50/50 for me even if its a fantasy matchup

i would favor arguello on this one. imo, arguello's experience at this weight would play an important factor against a young floyd. while floyd looks great stopping and shutting out with wide decisions champs of 130 during his time, arguello's level of competition at 130 cannot be compared. mayweather's slick style could trouble any fighter including arguello but arguello could figure floyd out especially in a long match (15 rounds).
