Mainstream want good fights, not downbeats. I don't know of any casual fan who wouldn't prefer Marquez/Pacquiao over Pacquiao/Mosley. This isn't right and I'm a very flexible guy. I accept fights for what they are, but not this one. Dissapointed.
You clearly are not seeing this from a business perspective. Mosley makes more money. Mosley is appealing to the mainstream than is JMM Mosley is another link correlation to Mayweather. Pac beats him in an impressive matter, mainstream talks more about a Mayweather fight. "Pac TKO'd mosley and Mayweather almost got knocked out" Business is Business.
Mainstream knows more about Mosley than they do about JMM. I gurantee you mainstream doesnt even know about the Mosley/Mora and JMM/Katsidas fights. It sucks for us as fans yes, but the money is with Mosley who not only will make the Pacquiao fight more PPVs but is willing to take a much smaller cut to what JMM is asking.

Im expecting it to do much less than Mayweather/Mosley. But its not like Pac/JMM III will do more buys than Mayweather/JMM.
The only way Pacquiao's gonna out do Floyd on this one is if he knocks Mosley out. Point Blank period. And honestly, I only see that happening if Mosley gets tired midway through the fight. Floyd took away every punch from Mosley and had him thinking waaay too hard about how he was gonna hit Floyd, and not only hit him, but hit him cleanly and not get countered. Pacquiao won't/can't fight that smart. He won't be able to outspeed Mosley early in the fight and Pacquiao's gonna get hit.... ALOT! I guarentee you if Mosley lands a right hand half as hard as that 2nd one Floyd caught in round 2, its GAMEOVER for Pacquiao and his hypetrain, and the potential biggest fight ever! This fight is going to look like Pacquiao vs Cotto. Only difference is Shane's Chin > Cotto's Chin. Shane's Power > Cotto's Power. Shane's Speed > Cotto's Speed. If Shane stays alive for the duration of 12 rounds, it'll be a good competitive fight. But at this point, thats a big "IF". And if (count on this IF more lol) Manny's Speed (> Cotto & Shane's Speed lol) turns up and Mosley gets discouraged, we'll be watching De La Hoya vs. Pacquiao II lol.
Pac fighting Mosley is more like Pac fighting Margarito, both got schooled badly and looked average in their next fight after that. Now they qualify to fight Pacquiao.
