I wouldnt say he got trapped against the ropes that a over statement I think he was just backing up letting rios come to him no compare to roy...roy legs were gone manny was still bouncing around!! And no brandon is not an A class fighter but manny people felt that guy would k.o many and he didn't so no need to water down manny win!! He fought smart and didn't get careless what's wrong with that...the next fight will be the best judge!!
i pretty much summarized this last night on IBs RBR and was quickly attacked by three *******s prime manny riddled cotto, margo and clottey rios is levels below these guys and suffered much less damage paq couldve had an off night but if not he is going to be kod again in the very near future
he may be a shadow but he is not like roy jones. Roy jones was gun shy pac is not. Pac is also miles ahead of rjj in ATG status
People aren't *******s just because they don't agree with your assessment of Manny. This fight was similar to the Clottey fight. Cannot believe the pass Rios is getting for giving up in the ring. That was the most impressive aspect of Manny's performance to me. He took Rios heart and Rios just wanted to survive. I just cannot believe a guy wins a shutout and he has idiots bashing him for not KOing a guy 10 pounds heavier who also is regarded as having one of the best chins in boxing. With that said I think Manny did not look quite the same. I do not think that the old Manny could have gotten Rios out of there though. It is hard to KO bigger men if they don't want to open up.
Against Cotto (when the fight was competitive) and Margo Manny laid on the ropes more... this movement was very crisp... do not agree with #1. Agree a bit with #2, maybe this is a good thing? Or has Manny lost the ability to get the KO? Rios is a better fighter then people are giving him credit for. Similar to Canelo after Mayweather. Why do these guys always come in so heavy? They are so hopelessly slow.
the ten pounds is irrelevant as to rios skillsets compared to that of margo, clottey and cotto it couldve been an off night but if not i have no problem saying that the version of paq last night has about three more fights and no more than one war before he is done at the top level
Except it is relevant. Continue telling us how Pac is "done" because he did not KO a fighter who outweighed him by 10 pounds, has a granite chin and did not seem interested in opening up. I am not even saying you are wrong about your overall assessment of Manny. I just think the way you are trying to justify it, Pac didn't get the KO, makes no sense.
No he wouldn't but the pac who swarmed opponent is gone he KO cold and has yet to revive. Again if Pac tries to box Floyd as he did Rios may as give floyd the victory now!
paq is a high-intensity, high-output type fighter and his offense is essentially his defense. once he no longer has the intensity and the high output his defense will then suffer im going to say that the paq that fought cotto wouldve destroyed rios and thats why i think he is on the decline when also factoring his ko loss there are not many guys below the hw division north of 35 that suffer a ko loss and are ever the same like i said, maybe paq just had a bad night
