I dont belleve that pictures alone are the proof....but I find it interesting that JMM looks the naturally bigger fighter when they first met at featherweight. Then check the evolution to 147 lbs, the difference imo of a fighter rising up naturally without PED's in JMM..... ......and with PED's in Manny Pacquiao. Who among you here feel that Pac looks the naturally bigger fighter in that picture at featherweight??? http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0S020uOQ...anmanuelmarquezvideos.com/images/pacquiao.jpg[/IMG] http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0S02006P...ges/1f/5/1f501b12633918783839e0eca394752a.jpg[/IMG] This content is protected This content is protected
When did I ever say Mayweather weighed 160 lbs? What I said was that naturally Mayweather is 15 lbs heavier than Pacquiao....... .....at the moment they are within a few lbs of eachother as imo Pacquiao's weight is being put on sythetically through PED's.......his lean mass is through the help of PED's. I provided some pictures in my previous post.
Another thing that now appears to have an explanation with the alleged PED use: All those times Pacquiao showed up late to start training camp. Remember all those times that the camp was in chaos because Pacquiao was not there then suddenly he shows up 5-6 weeks before the fight and got ready like it was nothing and Roach telling the media that Pacquiao was in shape and ready a week before? Seriously guys, the list of fighters who didn't train properly for a big fight and it was not apparent once they got there is very very short.
You completely missed the point, which isn't the least bit shocking. Manny and Floyd were the same size in their mid-twenties, just fighting in different weight classes. Manny was draining to make weight and Floyd wasn't. Get it yet?
His punch count has gone up...but there can be a few reasons for this. In my opinion, the main factor in this is the fact that he is a lot faster than the guys he is moving up and facing. The opponents he is facing at Welterweight are not going to be throwing the same amount of punches back at him like they did in the lower divisions. He is overwhelming them with speed, which allows him to fire off more shots than he would have been able to in the lower divisions.
It's funny how people buy so much into public personas and images. Shane Mosley seems like a really likeable guy, but I don't buy his excuses regarding his PED use. "Uhhh, they told me you can call it flaxseed oil". Many people bring up Pacquiao moving up so much in weight, but that really doesn't make me that much more suspicious about him. From the same age, Mayweather has roughly moved up the same amount of weight. If you go back in history, George Carpentier moved up more. Naturally I just never rule out PED use among athletes, especially in boxing where the testing is lax and fighters know when they will be tested, because what do people expect? Ultra-competitive athletes, whose livelihood is based on their performances in the sport, to say "no, I won't take that, it's against the rules, I'd rather lose by being fair than break the rules and win"? Sure. Especially the way a lot of fans are. They're often so critical about a fighter because he loses. I just try to enjoy the sport and hope that the fighters aren't using PEDs. But if the are, I'm not going to be surprised in the least. Maybe by their negligence, but not by the fact that they used.
The weight issue, in my opinion, is a weak argument. Manny walks around at 150-155, which is about the same weight Floyd walks around with last time I checked. You can easily make the argument that Pac should have been fighting at welter a long time ago. What's really suspicious is not only winning, but annihilating top guys consecutively right after he arguably lost to a small man in JMM. How many fighters have had that type of streak? Knocking out a bunch of bums is nothing, Valero does that easily. But if you line up 4 or 5 top guys against anyone, he's going to struggle at some point. This logic does not apply to Pac and I find that suspicious, especially when his streak began near the age of 30, not early or mid 20's. As for fighters who are willing to take the risk of getting caught, I see that many would actually go through with it, especially when there are many loopholes in the testing system. Only the elites make top dollar in Boxing. It's a cutthroat business. You either make a ton of money or you make a few bucks that wouldn't even cover your rent. We hear in the news about people killing others for money. It stands to reason there are people who would cheat when they are in a desperate situation such as being forced to live in poverty.
