.....and thats what I would have chalked it up as had this whole fiasco of testing refusal not happened. No evidence but to call it a freak of nature. ......the only problem is the videotape of Pac's embarrasing excuses and unwillingness to submit to a process that better ensures that two clean athletes are competing against one another.
Bringing up Pac's feats is just a supporting argument. I wouldn't call it a closer. The one thing that really sticks out to me is avoiding random blood tests close to fight day. Unless you have some sort of rare medical disorder, it does not take anyone more than 14 days to recover from one simple blood test. No offense but I hope he retires so we can move on and focus on other fighters. Either that or man up and take the random tests and fight Floyd. You can wear your 8 oz gloves and keep your $10 mil weight penalty. Just take his easy, reasonable tests and fight him. Not that big of a deal, especially when he is submitting to the tests himself. You're so busy denigrating and calling him a coward but he is not the guy who's afraid of a small needle. Floyd probably could counter sue you for constantly insinuating he's a coward. Isn't this a form of defamation of character? He wouldn't do such thing because he'd rather fight you in the ring as long as you can pass those tests.
true.....i think pacquiao just got some really really bad advice on this one. Arums stubborness, combined with his pride and ego, combined with Roach's desire to have more time to prep- I think all contributed in their lack of entursiasm to make this happen. I dont think they were scared- i just think they didnt REALLY WANT the fight to happen then and there. But by the same token- Floyd too - could have made the fight happen but didnt concede - So I feel he too wasnt as enthusiastic- I think he has a cautious nature- and hasnt fully figured out pac yet- and wants longer to take a look at him. Neither is afriad, neither is a cheat- theyre just two guys stalling at pulling a trigger is all. One thing IS for certain though. 100 percent certain. That they know the other man can bring it. Pacquiao and Roach have both conceded they need more time for FLoyd- an admission they regard his skills as the truth. and Floyd - by the demands of PAc taking a test- has all but conceded that he feels Pac is competing at a level not humanly possible. They both have shown regard for the other man- as much as they talk **** - they know the other dude can fight. which is respect.
They're about the same size in the first pic. As to difference between JMM and MP. Pac rose gradually, stopping and testing himself at each division, starting slowly at welter with Hoya who dropped down as well. JMM jumped up after only two fights at lightweight two divisions, completely untried, to face the best welter of them all. Big freakin' difference there. Pac's body had been filling out slowly since then.
Based on the size of this head, Pac is really a big dude, his natural weight is really at 140 to 147.
and pac has fought only thrice at welter. weighing only 145max. proving he isnt really a welterweight. he can still make 140 easily. they have to constantly feed him to make sure he weighs near the welter limit. pac's fighting weight is 140 as pbf's is 147. pac and pbf both weighed about the same when their were 16. and mayweather got as high as 150 when pac could only weight up to 145. your arguement makes no sense.
still bitter about the jmm loss aye? why is it such a big deal that he is doing better now than he did 4 or 5 years ago? it's because some of yall thought that 4 or 5 years ago was pac's physical prime when it clearly wasn't. the thing is you people have ran out of **** to throw pac's way. you used to belittle his opposition, then he fought the biggest and baddest fighters out there. you said he was a one-armed fighter, then he began knocking people down with his right. you said he only fought past-prime fighters, he beat some who were in their or very near their prime. then you just ran out of **** to say. all the things you've said about pac going back to the first fight against jmm have been proven wrong. the man worked very hard to prove all you naysayers wrong. when you had nothing to throw against him, the mayweathers gave you the steroids ****. then you ****in act like you knew it all along.
I guess i would still treat all of this as "innocent until proven guilty." I will treat this like many of the people who gave Margarito the benefit of the doubt until everything is 100% proven and he's is formally charged. I still am not accusing him of being a sure plaster puncher, and I will not really dishonor his name here or on any boxing messageboards, even if I kinda cant watch his old fights against Cintron and Cotto without cringing everytime he throws his volume punches. I may have some doubts now about his fairness as a boxer, but I will not drag his name in the mud. I just wont enjoy watching replays of his fights like I used to. I dont think there is conclusive ending to his case, as of today, right?
WOW, Thank you... Incredible how many naive ppl in here, a boxing forum with so many "supposedly" knowledgeable ppl about the sport ... IF THIS DOESN'T RING AN ALARM BELL TO ANYBODY, THEN I GUESS PACQUIAO COULD SHOW UP IN LIVE TV AT A DRUG TEST WITH A CRACK PIPE IN HIS HANDS AND PPL WOULD STILL BELIEVE HIM..... sad indeed, very sad times for a sport with such history.... makes me think WWE is not that far as a sport!! :?:verysad
This is also what is puzzling me. He went up from 106lbs to 147lbs and yet he seems to be getting stronger as he moves up in weight! No one can explain that. Very strange indeed.
Funny on the highlighted, that it was precisely the *******s in this forum after the Marquez rematch were saying that Marquez was a fresh fighter, and Pac had been in too many wars already and was past his prime. The *******s were actually saying back then that Pac was past his physical best.......how times have changed....2 years have passed and and 3 weight divisions heavier now they're saying Pac's at his prime. ......and I do remember that 90% of the *******s here thought Pac would get killed by DLH, and this knowing that DLH was coming down in weight and his best days were well behind him.....now they've become so callous to a midget going up the scales so far, they dont realize Pac's defying the laws of physiology. How dare anyone be suspicious of Pacquiao they say!:rofl
atschYou do realize that within a span of a year and 2 months, Pac fought in 4 weight classes.......The Marquez, Diaz, DLH, and then Hatton fights all were bunched in within the span of less than a year and two months. There is absolutely nothing gradual about those climbs, absolutely nothing!
divac, do you realize that Pac's fight weight didn't increase that much even though he fought in 4 weight classes? It only means that Pac is draining himself less as he moves up in weight class. Make a graph of Pac's fighting weights all these years and show the result to us. I guess you wouldn't do it because you will find that he is actually gradually increasing his weight.
so your basis of pac's physiology is how pacfans think it of it? saying pac was past his physical prime them was clearly an excuse. jmm was a bad match up for him. is it not possible to for fans to think then that pac was past his prime because he was on a rough edge in his career? you're still bitter than pac has accomplished so much when you've tried your very best to put him down since day one. and you're idol jmm? nowhere. afraid to fight china-chinned amir khan. you're still bitter and the steroids issue was an excuse you were waiting for. you lucky the mayweathers brought it out. im pretty sure you couldn't have though of that yourself.
