Not that I care at all but I'm surprised it sold that many. PPV is unsustainable and it now takes genuinely huge fights to get people to part with extra cash. Hopefully this is a trend that continues.
Are you SURE this was on Chinese PPV? (I've read some much contradictory statements on this one and can't find any actual clarification, though I know it was on PPV in the Philippines) A time outside the typical times used in nearby countries which already have a "recognised" time. China is still so new to boxing that they will likely be happy with anything. The main event was what local time? 9/10 am?
No it wasn't because they once again failed to get the software up and running. Though Bob is now pretending it was intentional because he wants to grow the market or some such rubbish. So they could put this on at literally any time of the day and it wouldn't matter because the Chinese are new to boxing? Please, they wanted to make money from PPV buys. Why do you think they ran back to Vegas for the Bradley rematch in the first place if buys were so irrelevant for the Rios fight?
Might as well grow the market before you you kill it.... What time was the main event? That's what's going to be the key Out of interest, do you believe the way to grow the sport is to put it behind a pay wall? A country like Japan has it's top fighters being seen by 10,000,000 people on free TV a country like the US has it's top fighter being seen be 1,000,000, British fans have their "top" fighters being seen by 100,000 (if lucky) whilst lesser fighters (on Channel 5) get 9 or 10 times as many.
No I don't and I've been quite vocal about that. I simply think the reason Top Rank's offered for no PPV is disingenuous at best.
What does that have to do with May 2nd? Or even the September date? That is the point that is being made. Who is Floyd going to fight that can compete with that? Only bigger fight is if he steps up for Golovkin. That **** ain't happening.
No it did not. Stop chucking around your bs propaganda. There were ZERO credible sources that released that number. There were also rumours that Floyd/Chino2 did less that 800. If you think those sources were strong enough to believe, you best believe it did less than 800 too.
Most credible sources say 925k, get over it. Pacs ppv just did 250k, that's pretty bad for PAC and shows that most of his fans were just casuals riding the bandwagon. 70/30 split for Mayweather is generous at this point.
what's so funny about that? it was on PPV in the Philippines if you wanted to watch it live without commercials. I would know since I had to go to the cable company's office and order it for my cousin lol
