Hey all watched clottey Vs Pacaman today and let me say first, fantastic performance my Manny he has so much heart and is such a great icon for boxing and is what a true boxer is....

BUT after watching his fantastic performance my opinion from pac beating floyd has now changed. Clottey when he did fire hit manny almost every time with his heavy and slow shots. Clottey landed a fair few straight rights and jabs. ALL of them were slow...

Now in my opinion mayweather has a better defence and also his straight right and jab are signiture moves. He will hit pacman alot more often with his lead right and jab to keep manny off him.

My opinion now Mayweather UD...no chance for knockout though...but i do hope manny wins :D

manny's gonna walk right through that jab.

I think Mayweather will at least throw SOME punches compared to Clottey. I still think he will not engage with Pac.

See JMM I and II. Now remember that Floyd is bigger strong and faster.

Pretty tough one to call, im leaning toward Mayweather but it wouldnt surprise me if Pac kos May. im 60/40 leaning towards Mayweather, but would be rooting for Pac.

I'm insanely surprised to see a change from Pac to Mayweather winning. This is contrary to what you'll see for ESB for the next few weeks.

I'm maintain my position of a Pac SD but I do feel he could win a UD. Close fight, especially compared to this one no doubt.

Fair assestment but there is one difference you are not accounting for. Mayweather's "guard" is based on body movement and not "hands up" like Clottey. So there is actually a better chance for Pac to land clean combos to the face with PBF than Clottey. May does put his hands in his pocket in order to hide his punching angles and timing.

For me it is still 55 / 45 for Pac. Pac's activity and power has a better chance for a TKO and a small chance for split decision where PBF has a minute chance for TKO, but good chance for UD.

This doesn't change my opinion of the fight at all. I think Pacquiao will hit Mayweather just as much, if not more than Clottey. That cover up shell type defense is hard to land punches on. Mayweather is slick an all, and he'll make Manny miss, but Pacquiao's fast enough to catch him some of the time.

yup those few punches really hit Pac..
but it shows how Pac eat those punches..
he even open up just to counter clottey ;)
and Clottey hits harder than Floyd...

Its funny how you dudes say everyone is a super version of JMM; DLH,Cotto, Arguello, JCC, and now PBF.

bigger and stronger than clottey? I don't f'n think so..

but I get your point about JMM I and JMM II. Pac's a more complete fighter.

Seen them but remembered Pac is a different fighter in 2010 to what he was in 2004 and 2008

Great great point. I was thinking the same thing. When someone is in a tight high guard and is highly committed to use it..without regards to winning or losing..it is impossible to penetrate.

Notice also how PAc now slides to his right all the time ..this is not going to bode well for Floyds right which is his weapon and he better protect his left side for teh right hook to the body.

I can understand how Pac assessed the Floyd fight as an easier fight than this at the post fight interview Max.

See Floyd-Castillo 1. Pac is faster, more powerful, better output, more skilled, more accurate, better angles, better footwork....

I have a greater appreciation for Pac tonight after watching him pepper the **** out of Clottey. I think he gives Mayweather a tougher fight than I anticipated but still comes out the loser.
