People said the same when he fought DLH. The weight drain will effect Mosley's power.

Not trying to take anything away from their accomplishments but with Shane's age it's hard. Shane will be losing muscle not putting it on by coming down in weight. He could become weak by doing so.

I agree with this. PBF-Pac would have put boxing on the front pages again everyone would be talking about it. It was the fight between the two best fighters of the era but sadly now it looks like it won't happen.:-(

its not the same thing. DLH hasnt beat anybody good in 8 years when he fought Pacquiao. that was an easy pick. Mosley has been whooping fools forever, even if he does lose power, its still 5 times what JMM hit him with, and thats not good at all

Mayweather cant fight Mosley after a 18 month layoff. he had to fight somebody first. come on blade. if your gonna say that then Mosley could've fought Mayweather in 99 and 06 and this wouldnt have happen.

Hate this fight. Two of my favorites, and it could possibly **** up a MEGA MEGA match on the horizon.

YEAH. this is really a make or break right here. If Pacquiao gets KO then forget about it. the only way this works out is both Mayweather and Pacquiao win then the fight could be 2 times bigger but its a huge risk.

Potentially yes - but lets not underestimate the effects of the amount of weight Mosley would have to drain. Assuming he agrees to fight at 143 - he would be completely drained. He has not fought at less than 146 since 1999. Right before Margarito he fought Mayorga at 153. It's been about 10 years since he was that small, and at his age it is very hard on the body to go down that much.

This amount of weight drain will help Pac look great for performing well against a great fighter - and many will ignore the fact that he was fighting a drained zombie.

    Wow, this will be incredible!!

And UliUli is seriously ******ed :lol::lol:

Shane Mosley regardless of his age is currently one of, if not the best WW in the world right now. Do you not realize that, or are you too ******ed to even comprehend this? We're talking about TODAY...CURRENTLY...as in NOW, idiot.

Anyone comparing Mosley coming down in weight to ODLH coming down in weight is making ill comparisons. Mosley just showed brilliance at 147 back in January. He looked GREAT, and coming down 3lbs is NOT the same thing as coming down 8lbs.

And for everyone complaining about catchweights...yes, I don't much care for them myself. But Mosley is the one calling out Pacquiao. I take nothing away from either fighter...this is going to be barn burner, and ain't gonna be nothing like Pac vs. ODLH.

Also, like others mentioned...I DO have reservations about this messing up a Pacquiao vs. Mayweather fight...but seriously, as a boxing fan, you can't tell me this fight doesn't get you riled up?

LOL! Pac is defintely a *****! Cotto got lucky that Sug from the "convelscent home" did get a deserved "W" over him! At least this "old fighter" is beating domiant fighters in dominating fashion.....just like all the "old men" in their early 30's that Pac has dominated.

That's if he can even make it down to 143. 3-4 pounds may not seem like much, but many fighters reach a point where no matter what they do they just can't burn off those last pounds (ie. Corrales (rip homie)/Casamayor final bout).
