I don't care what anyone says, but if this fight takes place at a lower weight than 145. Manny is not going to get any credit if he comes out victorious, which i'll be the first to discredit him. Cotto should be smart and not take this fight any lower than it already is, but money makes things happend unfortunately. We have to stop this Manny being the smaller guy, they both have an identical height and reach. Cotto coming in at 143, is such a disadvantage. Freddie Roach and Manny should know the real fans know the truth and stop the talking and sign already at 145.

Aaah O.K power to you if you even have won some money on this one. I had Hatton as a surprise winner but anyway I think his win over Hatton is still very impressive although Hatton really helped him with the way he jumped with his hands down.

Who gives a ****. If Cotto can't safely make weight then don't ****in take it.

Pac came in at 138 for his last fight. Cotto came in at 146. 8 pounds to those that can't subtract. Pac is looking to take the biggest and toughest fights.

Cotto, Mosley, and Floyd as well as any other fighter within 15 pounds of Pac wants a piece.

    I picked Pacquiao. ;)

The Collazo fight was at 147 and Collazo is no chump so whoever expected Ricky to walk all over him was wrong. Collazo recently arguably beat Berto too so he wasn't an easy task for Ricky who he still managed to beat. Lazcano didn't nearly KO him, people exaggerate a lot there, he stunned Hatton with a punch and Hatton came back from it. The Malignaggi fight was a good enough test and many picked Hatton to be outclassed yet the complete opposite happened. Hatton was hardly "out of it" at that stage, he wasn't allowed to apply whatever strategy he had because he got overpowered and early, Pacquiao's power just blocked anything he tried to apply and ended him on the canvas early. Duran/Hearns comes to mind, Foreman/Norton, Foreman/Frazier and so on.

The Kostya Tszyu performance shouldn't be mentioned, that was a disgrace, Hatton was allowed to do EVERYTHING that night, elbows, headbutts, hold and hit, rabbit punches, punches to the back of the head, low blows and shove without getting any warning yet still it was close.

145 sounds reasonable if Cotto wants it, Cotto his self said that 145 they're fine with. Pacquiao is a small Welterweight so why give all the advantage for the opposition?. If Cotto wants it he should agree to their demands, simple as that. If not then move on, I'm sure Mosley will be more than happy to agree.

If it was Mayweather in Cotto's place demanding it at 145 or 147 people will be insulting him day and night claiming he wants an advantage over the smaller guy but because it's Cotto he's getting support.

He wasn't discrediting anything, just being logical rather than delusional and lying. You also make it sound like "everyone" knew this, why was Pacquiao a huge underdog going in the fight then?, these people knew that DLH didn't make Welter for nearly 8 years if not more, right?

No it was 145 or something like that. He weighted more than Oscar. I think Oscar was 144.5 or something like that

All of you critics are thinking like Pac already fought at A CATCHWEIGHT, so your bashing him. It's the first time his camp is asking for a catchweight. Pac keep repeating and repeating that whoever is put in front of him is ok. He just let Roach, Arum and his bloodsucking attorney doing the talking (which is kinda sux).
But hey why bother, His camp knows they got the bargaining RIGHTS thats why they're taking it specially Pac is near to his retirement.

Very true. All this bull**** has found me having a new respect for Mayweather.

It's hard to realize how dumb it sounds to you hear the other side.

The thing is with Oscar losing the weight. He was already a shell of himself and a part time fighter full time promoter.

He hadn't looked good in years. He just had not faced an accurate offensive wizard like Pac since Mosley.

Cotto is in his prime and stays in shape. So a few pounds shouldn't hurt. I do think both sides should see 45 as fair.
