I left the house at round 4, when Clottey was toying at Cotto's nasty cut. I was surprised when I came back that Cotto was able to eke out a win. Clottey did not exploit this situation. He's not a good finisher like Pac. Pac would have knocked Cotto out if he was in that situation.

I prefer Pac to fight another fighter other than Cotto because his detractors would say he was destroyed by Margo. Pac can't gain anything fighting Cotto. But knowing Arum, he will permit this fight to happen.

Pac and Clottey are two different fighters, I'm also not sure Pac can take Cotto's shots like Clottey did.

i actually think pac can box clottey to a decision. in and out and pile up points. he doesn't need to stop a monster like that.

in the cotto fight, i thought that clottey would get stopped in the 7th? round but he just hanged in their with cotto's power shots.

Half the time cuts come from head butts and half the time it can be from a punch; a punch Pacquiao can produce.

Anyway I think Clottey won the fight. If Cotto didn't get that cut I think he could've won more clearly.

Way too fast, and his straight left will go right between Cotto's open guard. I hope this fight gets made, and I hope Pac can handle Cotto's power.

It's obvious that Cotto's punch resistance has weakened after Margo. With Pac's swarming style, he could have easily disposed of Cotto if he was in that fight.

I was rooting for miguel angel but I thought clottey did enough to win the fight by a very slim margin. Still, congrats to cotto for getting the split decision. It maybe the eyebrow cut but I thought cotto was a little slow and that version of cotto will be beatable by pac.

I was thinking about that during the fight but then again it maybr the eyebrow cut. I salute miguel angel for not quitting despite that ugly cut. He truly has the heart of a champion.

I had Cotto winning the fight. I think he would have had an easier fight if Clottey had not butted him, the cut made a difference, but Cotto still won on my card.

I agree. The fight was close. If not for the flush knock down, Clottey would be he clear winner.

for once i agree with you, pac would brutally stop cotto just like margo did or even worse as long as pac can take cotto's punches

clottey practically gave away the final third of the fight due to inactivity. cotto won this but exposed a lot of weaknesses here. punch resistance is down, his speed is slow and gets hit with fast combos combined with fast movement. cotto hasn't been the same post-margo, loaded gloves or not.
