It sounds rilly out of character for Manny to say that. Above all though, I hope this fight happens. Watchin' last nights fight, that's most all I could think about. I hope it goes through.

what's up with us is that we didn't just watch boxing for the first time in 2002/2003....

i live watching pac fight, i really do...i just cant stand his fans that seem to think he is untouchable...

as a boxing fan there is many things you gotta understand coming into a fight....barrera and erik were not in their primes, but i still give manny a lot of props for doing what he did...i just dont think he's superman so therefore i'm considered a hater....
is it too far fetched to say that manny is 4-3 against the greats, and 2 of them being passed their prime..no it's not, right...

now, in boxing we judge fighters by what they're doing at that very moment, and this continues until they retire....right now, manny has avoided all threats at 135-140-147 and going straight to the bank...no lies, this is real talk and that's exactly what he's doing....and personally, deep down inside i can't respect that...cause you gotta be realistic here and know that manny really knows he's gonna lose...so he's taking a paycheck and selling out his pride and love for his country, which is/was another thing that made him great...

Not to start a fiasco but any Mexican you ask about Pacquiao will bring up a LIST of excuses about how everyone he fought is shot or past it simply to take credit away from him. I focus on both sides since I'm not from any side and that's the result I see, Filipino fans just fire back with the same stuff. It's pretty damn clear who always starts it.

I'm not gonna really join in on the discussion here.

But I just gotta say, freddy.

It's kinda insulting for you to keep saying that Filipinos who like to watch Manny are ignorant and have only been watching boxing since 2002.

    That's not good.

Sure, call yourself a boxing expert if you like, and it's likely that you know more about boxers from the 1920s-1970s than some of the filipinos here.

But dont generalize, and dont put everybody down.

    I dont know about that..

I'm pretty sure most if not all of the Pinoys here congratulated JMM and applauded his great performance.

They posted it in the general forum threads and in the "Tambayan Lounge".

    The guys were impressed.

I dont know what youre saying.

Sadly most of what I read was from Mexican fans trying to rub a win over Casamyor for JMM all over Pacquiao like he owes him something. Also right after Marquez mentioned that he wants Pacquiao as soon as possible the Mexican fans were all over it claiming Pac is scared, lost both fights...etc. The Filipino fans are doing what anyone else will do, answering back.

I'm not only talking about ESB but many other different sites as well, that also includes comments in general.

actually it's not even a mexican nor pinoy who started this whole ****. it was started by maestro who claimed to be an american. pinoys and mexicans are just baited to have a troll/flaming war.

Freddy..I said youre getting carried away because I know you like Pac...I was just pointing to 22 out of 24 rounds...

The first fight with Mab was prime Mab not peak Mab..but the way Pac dominated him in every..yes every round.. Pac was spectacular for a first fight at 126...

MAB..JMM..Erik back to back to back is unbelievable past prime or not..no way around it ..its very impressive

Is he superman ??no..this hug /hate thing has gotten carried away..itrs impossible to discuss anything..

and I disagree with pac and reality..actually..if he is to be realistic..he must chase the money...this is a brutal sport and hes given us great fights..Hes at the tail end of his career and quite very possible have a slur in his speech in a few years.

I wouldnt blame Erik for wanting to fight again..Mab to keep at it...they have paid their dues...this sport is business whether we like it or not...As for your sentimentality about the pureness of the sport and country...I can understand that..but getting your body beat up for over 10 years will change that thinking in a hurry

One last thing, Manny has avoided all threaths iat 135-140..but not for an easy fight...maybe for the biggest money but to think that fighting DLH is a walk in a park...its a high risk high reward fight...Pac deserves that..

and he will fight JMM again not because of pride..because of money

it's true man, and i aint no expert...i'm only 25 years old, but i've been watching boxing since back in the early 90's....the first 2 fighters i watched was chavez sr, and holyfield.....but anyways

it's true, since when have you seen all these flips into boxing......i'm not even gonna say most of them, i'm gonna say ALL OF THEM THAT I MEET, only know manny and his opponents....and a occasional ppv here and there....
