Germany cares about fighters that knows how to speak german. According to a German boxing forum K-P Kohl said that his biggest mistake was not checking on the language skills on some of his boxers.

Get this, Ward-Kessler will not be available in Germany.

Everyone in the UK knows who Manny Pacquiao is... even guys who havent seen him fight just think of him as some sort of terminator beast. Thats the truth.

Not true, it will be on tape delay Sunday morning on MDR :good That it isn´t shown live is due to problems with Denmark. The fight is shown there on PPV it would be for free in Germany but you can get German TV in Denmark.

And no it´s not about language skills, see Valuev, Erdei and so on. It´s about the German Media. German Media is just interested in German-based fighters. there are no, or at least very few, German based fighters under the mw limit and so these weights get nearly no coverage. Sad but true.

    Right you are.
(we could argue about Valuev and Erdei's popularity but bleh, I don't want to. And I thought Erdei spoke german.)

MDR doesn't stream their programs by any chance? I don't get it here.

Some of my non boxing fans friends know about him.

He is definitely not broadcasted down here but his name is quite mentioned in the media after a big fight like the DLH or Cotto fights.

Stream it on a computer you can see it anywhere, just because you didn`t see it doesn`t mean the rest of Europe doesn`t know him.It won`t surprise me if Pacquiao becomes Ali status with his boxing ability and persona.

The big boxing nations in urope are UK and Germany. Most people wouldve heard of Manny Pac in the UK due to the Hatton, DeLa Hoya and Cotto fights. covergae of the fight was good here.

Boxing is massive in Germany, i am surprised a German network hasnt picked the fight up. But that maybe because they are concentrating on homegrown talent and the Super 6!

The Super 6 in the UK is surprisingly niche, it is being show on a unheard of ppv station...

Pacman is bigger in the UK than Carl Froch for example...
