I wouldnt take any notice what you read on Skybet, but it would be a blow for Sky and boxing fans if Pac-Marquez ends up on Primetime. Sky+ the big Vegas cards and watch it next morning was something I used to take for granted with Sky, but it really would be a blow if they didnt secure this fight.
I agree the HBO set up is better, but the Primetime feed would appeal more to viewers in the UK..... People know who Khan is and would listen more to his opinions then to people who they know **** all about. So it makes perfect sense to improve upon what Primetime are doing at the moment.
Yes Bunce and Kerr classic. I loved it when Bunce quotes Mayweather then says its ok its 5 in morning we can swear. Sky would have been too busy apologising for Mayweathers comments
Ricardo was awful from what I've seen of the PT broadcast. He isn't worth what you're paying him. His commentary was utterly inane.
He started every round with the same line about what a huge attraction Mayweather is. He also said that Floyd is "arguably the greatest of all time" if I remember correctly.
Benny Ricardo is quality, should get colonel Bob in with him. Waye was ok, nothing more, nothing less. i thought the picture quality was a big improvement aswell :good
Didn't he keep repeating something just before Ortiz nutted Floyd. it was profoundly irritating. He didnt add anything of value to the broadcast, same as the Khan-Judah fight. He was just this shrill, annoying voice that slowly made me want to plug my speakers with putty that night. I wished I had opted for the HBO feed that night. And Rob, Primetime can request the HBO feed, normally the promoter pays extra to be allowed the rights to use it worldwide or they can provide their own team as Top Rank often do. Im not sure if GBP provided a broadcast team I had the HBO feed. Top Ranks teams are usually pretty good. I remember Joe Tessitore doing a fight think it was Cotto-Mosley. In fact, Venus why not get Tessitore and Atlas? Theyre a fantastic commentary team and really add something to the fights.
