so retriver said that pac is top 20 ATG and PBF is top 50-60 and you answer with this...

...you my friend are very very intelligent. so intelligent that if you were the one who is to officialy make an ATG list, the list will definitely get ****ed up. so you are saying that "1" fight will make a boxer's ATG status to jump 40 spots?

That's really not fair on boxers in the 30's. In another 70-80 years time if we are all around, the fighters in 2080 will be able to kick the **** out of the fighters now.

They didnt have that many weight classes in the days of Ray Robinson and the like. In fact, many of them moved up in weight to fight bigger men. There were no such thing as catchweights. Manny does have an excellent resume, there is no denying that. He has done something no Filipino fighter has done before. But there are many many great fighters. Top 50 for sure, top 20 is a HUGE maybe, top 10? No way. Now if he beats Mayweather, Mosley, Bradley and a few others, absolutely top 20, top 10.

Yawn. I was expecting something different. Oh well, I'll give you an in-depth response whenever I can be bothered. Not that it will do much good, obviously.

You answered your own query as to why the ref didn't break up the clinches right here:

Duran was constantly working in the clinch, which is why the fight wasn't broken up most of the time. Whenever the action got somewhat stale the ref would break it up just as any modern day ref would.

No disrespect Indio, but the above does not make much sense to me (Which is unusual because your posts often make perfect sense).

If Manny without peds= Bobby Pacquiao then would not Bobby Pacquiao (Manny's younger brother) also be on peds?

Were Manny on peds it is a fair bet that his brother would know about it. And I would imagine that Bobby would undoubtedly want the adulation and huge pay-days that Manny has received. As a result Bobby would also be using peds!

By your rationale, both Manny and Bobby Pacquiao should be the #1 and #2 p4p best fighters on Earth which of course is not the case.

today, some referees are breaking up the clinch even if the fighters are still actively exchanging punches inside. Depending on the referee, he is not necessarily oblige to strictly follow the rules of clinching. Of course, most referees do allow boxers to clinch as long as they are busy punching.
