After Mosley beat DLH in 2000, he fought Forrest, in that fight they needed curtains to cover all the empty seats, and they made everyone sit in the front...FACT.

When has Mosley sold tickets??? Against Margarito..Just about EVERYONE was there for Tony..

You already proved you have no idea what your talking about, and that you just talk out of your ass by saying Cotto has no fan base. :yep

Looking at this purse split argument, in terms of ‘the numbers’ only, is a **** poor approach. It’s like saying someone must be cooking Spaghetti Bolognese, just because they’ve seen the chef simmering the pasta.

Just as there are more ingredients, blended to certain degrees, that go into making that famous dish, there are a lot of intangible and qualitative factors that go into promoting and drawing people to a particular fight.

The Pacquaio/Mayweather bout is a unique recipe never seen before, with both Boxers bringing their own blend of top quality ingredients to the kitchen. Who’s to say one party’s pantry holds more value than the other, when the constituents from both pantries are required to make the feast?

I doubt there is anyone, avidly involving themselves in threads such as this, who has the remotest amount of commercial acumen, required to justify their stance on the matter. Basically and as usual, it boils down to Fan Boy pot-shotting with little sense being derived out of threads going on towards 20 pages.

Are you that big of a moron old man? When did I say Cotto has no fan base? Don't kid yourself Mosley has a bigger fan base than your new hero who also beat your fishnet hero but was
    This content is protected
by Pacquiao and you can't accept that fact.

And since you're using the "Everyone was there for ____" Who do you think the (MOST) fans will cheer for when Pacquiao and Mayweather fight? :rofl The answer is clear and it's not Mayweather.

BTW old man, I don't give a **** who has the higher purse I just want to see this fight happen, but saying that Pacquiao or Mayweather (I'm sure some people think that doesn't deserve 50%) is not credible to ask for 50% is just ******ed just like old man *** UliUli and ***llege.

Here's the problem. Pacquiao is claiming he won't budge... In other words he, based on his opinion, feels he is entitled to 50% of the entire purse.

Mayweather on the other hand is using PPV sales as his argument as to WHY he should get the lions share..

Here is where Floyd's argument becomes legitamized. After Pacquiao and Roach used their PPV sales against Cotto and as weight to demand what kind of Purse Pac should receive.

Ultimately, it was Pac's camp who made the PPV sales a negotiationg tool.

Now, WHY can Pac use PPVs in his favor and no one says anything about it, but when Mayweather uses the same tool Pac and Roach legitamized, Mayweather is being unreasonable...

..Yet another double standard from the *******s.

GTFO  Never seen before.... Hearns-Leonard, Hearns-Hagler, Leonard-Duran, Trinidad-DLH, Mayweather-DLH, Ali-Foreman and on, and on, and on...... A little dramatic aren't we. :yep

If the fight isn't made because Pacquiao won't BUDGE...then surely the ******* yellow bus will unload its army of tards claiming Mayweather ducked Pac because he didn't settle for 50/50...When reality is that Mayweather have proved time and time again, he is the bigger draw.

    1. What did you mean by this comment??? It was your reply to my post regarding Cotto being a good draw. :think

    2. Again, you show your ignorance...First you try to insinuate Cotto doesn't have a fanbase/following/ or isn't a draw by saying he isn't like in Puerto Rico...Now your saying Mosley is a bigger draw??? U don't know ****! :yep

I don't know...What WE do know is that more people tune in to watch Mayweather over Pacquiao..wether you and they hate him or wether they love him, he makes people tune in...Mayweather sell successfully sells the fight.

I'm glad you're coming around...that's a small step to recovery. Next you'll be like Puga_ni_nana and Caneman and admit Mayweather deserves the bigger purse. :good

Btw, do you have some odd fetish with old men??? Why do you call me Old? 30 years is old to you? Figures, I must be dealing with a kid.

I just read an interesting article from the Philippines and proposal that could make the fight happen.

Floyd wants 60%. Pac wants 50%.

    They can both have it.

    How?

First a 50/50 split is made. Then that 10% difference is paid by Bob Arum and HBO to Floyd. Bob Arum did it for Ricky Hatton in a similar way.

Both get the money they want. The fight happens. I like it.

Not bad idea. I think it's been done for Trinidad too.

Mayweather can get 60%, and then HBO and Arum split what would equate to 10% and give it to Pac. :good

Here's the problem - you were the most likely person to so spectacularly miss the point and - congratulations - you just proved that the form guide was correct.

I say we will leave this purse split sharing thing to the promoters and HBO for it's them who knows the whole financial picture of this fight and the previous fights of both boxers.

As fans, we should not really go deep about money matters. Yes we can voice out our opinions but it's half cooked since we don't have the full grasp of the whole financial matters.

We have some idea about the PPV buys. We knew that Floyd edged out PAC slightly in that category but we don't know the net earnings of their individual fights. We have no information about promotional expenses and other related expense.

It's up to the promoters/HBO to settle this purse sharing issue. Be it 50-50, 51-49 or 60-50. Making this fight a reality is what matters most.

Sounds like a 100/100 deal is close to being agreed, with the additional being funded by Bob Arum, and HBO chipping in 2% to the winner

so it's 102/100 done deal everybody is happy!

Now lets get this mother on!

why would arum chip in the additional 10% for floyd when oscar is his promoter? ok just give floyd his 10% so that we have this fight settled. i hope floyd would not ask again for something else.
