Marco was looking for one big shot the whole night, and Manny didn't want to give it to him. MAB knew he would lose a war and tried to be smart. Manny was smart right back.

i remember this fight. there have been reports that pac was having difficulty weighing in. but in the fight, barrera boxed more and was succesful for some time.

well that and the fact that MAB kicked his ass twice, and imho 3 times. There's that too.

Barrera has not been at his prime for a long time now.

Because it's Barrera and he's no easy target, Pacquiao is just THAT good.

to be fair with marquez. he decided to brawl, and that's a needless one. MAB is great with brawls. in the pac rematch, he executed a different approach.

IMO Morales won the second fight clearly. The first was a win for Barrera and the third a draw, with MAB starting off well, then, Morales finishing off strong.

MAB's goal in the 2nd fight is just NOT to get KTFO which by itself was a 'moral victory' for him compared to what happened in their 1st fight, and also because not too long ago his rival Erik was annihilated by Pac in 3 rounds. Even by fighting other fighters MAB and EM are still competing.

Barrera just wanted to counter Pacman for that fight, he was hoping Pacman would pull a Hamed and rush in recklessly. Pacman fought a smart fight, pressing the action tentatively.

I don't think it was a phoney fight at all it was just Barrera didn't want to get slaughtered like his arch rival, Morales. See that's the difference between the two Morales doesn't give a **** and even if he loses he makes for good fights, he's the man.

It was a phony fight by the perspective that it never should have happened.......

.....JMM and MAB had fought an eliminator for the right to face Pac and JMM won by wide scores down the line on every judges card......

.....in essence Pac fought a Phony in there because he certainly did'nt fight the winner.
