Clottey hardly threw but when he did he was able to land. Not to mention Clottey's defence had Pacquiao puzzled in the first couple of rounds. Yeah he threw alot, but most of the punches were blocked, which lead Pacquiao to get a bit pissy and do the double punch. If that pissed Pacquiao off, imagine Mayweather's defence and we all know what kind of jab, movement and defence that guy has (not forgetting about speed too!). I see Mayweather beating Pacquiao and in some style too.

CompuBox only gave his average of 103. But I have the fight saved on my computer.

He wasn't pissy, he was playing with CLottey. He was having fun in there and smiling.

Pac makes easy work out of Mayweather.

Pac didn't even have that kind of workrate with Cotto, how the **** would he do it against Mayweather? He was able to throw 1200 punches because he fought a guy who spent the whole fight standing within his range and doing very little to discourage him.

Mayweather will not spend 3 minutes around standing right at the end of Pac's punches throwing almost nothing back. He'll be moving laterally, leaping in and out, and keeping Pac at the end of his punches and out of Pac's range. Pac will probably still outwork him, and that's not to say that Pac doesn't win, but the Clottey fight is irrelevant in analyzing a Mayweather fight.

Man, some of you Pac fans are fu***** ******ed! There is no way a sane boxing fan would watch that fight and come to the conclusion that Pac**** would dominate "Money". Pac has horrible defense. May will counter his ass all the way back to the Phillipines.. I honestly think the Mosely fight will be more of a challenge to Money... The Pacquiao fight is EASY WORK FOR MAYWEATHER. I predict massive suicides in the phillipines if that fight goes down...

No way does he destroy mayweather, and no way mayweather schools pac.

It will be a close fight, whoever wins.

I wish FMJ had your confidence. Maybe he'd actually fight Pac then?

I'm more convinced after watching the pac-clottey fight, mayweather beats pacquiao....The big difference is clottey is flat-footed...but still was able to land clean punches that snapped pacquiao's head back, because of his D-game...

Now imagine a quick footed, defensive specialist, with a much better offense then clottey....Mayweather takes a UD, in an 8-4 type fight...

I cant believe people are still saying things like 'cotto outboxed manny but then he chose to brawl'. :rofl. Cotto was made to brawl, and the outboxing he was supposedly doing was being figuired out.

You missed one important point though. Clottey lost every round comprehensively even ones where he was snapping pacquiaos head back.

I think the better question is:

If someone as big and as strong as Clottey (and without history of ducking) is terrified of Pac, would it not be far fetch to think that someone with a history of ducking is terrified even more?

    Floyd is an aggressive beast.
    He fears no fighter.

He didn't fight margarito because he was scared for margarito's children.
