I don't think this is such a big issue. Manny has said it multiple times, his job is to train and fight. Arum's job is to promote the fights and Koncz' job is probably to make sure of what's best for Manny's career.

Manny trusts the people around him. They know that if they are better off making the pie bigger for everyone than taking a bigger piece of a smaller pie and losing their place at the table next time around.

Also, this sort of shows just how detached Pac has become from boxing. It's clearly not his main focus anymore. Even if he didn't take the decision, if he actually gave a **** he would have known.

he doesn't owe GBP a cut of his money anymore. That **** ended with the Clottey fight and that's when GBP started to sue Top Rank for purportedly fixing their numbers when it came to their reporting of how much Pacquiao's been making per fight.

And 5 mil in the PI is still pretty ****in good. He has endorsements for days and can live off of that **** for longer than in the states. He's got more responsibilities than just boxing now, it's not surprising that he hasn't kept abreast of things in the US since he's not in boxing mode at the moment.

This......Pretty sad, everything negative within the Pacquiao camp is finger pointed to be someone else's fault beside Pacquiao himself.

From the looks of it seeing the 24/7's, Pacquiao dictates everything that goes on within his camp.
Pacquiao runs that camp or he would'nt show up for training camp late.......run off to campaign in for other politicians an leave the focus of training camp behind for a couple of days......things of that sort.

Some things may not get back to Pacquiao, but Manny Pacquiao is not the nieve dummy his own *******ed fans in this forum are not portraying him out to be, he runs that camp period!

Why are so many people worried that Arum apparently makes decisions on Pac's behalf?

In the 4-5 years Arum's been Pac's promoter, he's done an exceptional job. Actually no-one else could have done a better job in terms of making Pac money and for his legacy. Is it any wonder Manny trusts Arum fully to do what's best for him.

Gotta laugh when people say Pac must leave Arum. Putting fights together and promoting is a tough job, not child's play like you all think it is. Mayweather left Arum but he still needs GBP, and now maybe DKP to represent him.

Arum is not robbing Pac at all, he deserves what he gets for everything he's done for Pac. Only a selfish egotistical SOB like Mayweather and DLH would have a problem with that.

Lol at the "Pac will be broke" statements. He's not had tax problems, Arum's friends probably do his accounting (something little Floyd could've used), and Pac is not one you'd think would throw away money on fancy **** he don't need.

Plus he's got a job outside of boxing which could be lifelong position if he wants, and he probably makes more from his Nike contract and he's clothing range than most of us will see in a lifetime. He and Jinkee also have several businesses running in the Phillipines and now in the US with that tattooo business with that famous tattoo artist who used to work at NASA.

Manny is the last boxer you'd think would go broke. Honestly, do you clowns pull this **** straight out your asses?

and how much money did Mayweather have to pay the IRS by doing his own accounting? 30 million was it? If Arum is stealing anything from Pac, garauntee you it won't be near 10% of that.Arum's accountants are good. They managed to minimise what he needed to fork up to GBP, so much so that they are taking him to court over it.

This 'CBS has x amount of viewers' seems to be a vastly overrated point. If Showtime had such a large base to pander to why are they completely dominated in the PPV departement by HBO outside of Tyson fights? Seems like spin to try and make this move not seem as bad. We will see how well Pacs ppv's do from here on out while on Showtime, but Ill tell you one thing, I doubt they increase, despite all this spin about how many more viewers Showtime has access to. Just imo, but I guess we will see.

its not, its actually documented, this is the first time showtime will be using cbs to advertise a fight, i'm guessing someone higher than showtime/cbc had something to do with it.

It took Pacquiao adviser Michael Koncz to brief him on the switch and to basically explain the advantages of moving to CBS which owns Showtime and would help enhance his image as a crossover star while also giving his wife Jinkee a chance to appear on CBS shows. "

This is beyond ****ing ******ed. The fact that ESB readers knew about this before Pac himself is absurd. Koncz waits until a journalist asks Pac about it? When exactly the **** was Koncz planning on telling Manny that he will be fighting on a different network in four months? Obviously on a different network the pricing structure will change which means Manny will probably be getting a different guaranteed purse ect. and Kohncz who makes a killing off of Manny's blood, sweet and tears for doing ****ing nothing decides its not import to tell him as his 'adviser'

Everyone needs a promoter, its not that Pac uses Arum that is the problem, its that they make decisions not only without his input but without even updating him on what is happening.

I paid $88 for maintenance on my car yesterday, they rang me up after it was competed. Arum makes millions off of Pac and yet he cant ring up Pac when he changes networks on him. Kontz makes a fortune off of Pac too and he decided it wasnt important to let him know whats going on.

it sucks but do you honestly care?

i really couldn't give 2 shits about pacs business ventures, promotional deals and all those other crap, if he's happy with what he's getting and if i'm gonna get the fights i want thats all that matters.

It sure seems Pac doesnt care about anything but fighting. I doubt whether he fights on HBO or Showtime matters to him in the slightest.

HBO had the shittier deal. It has nothing to do with him fighting MOsley.
