There are only 2 reasons why Pac is rated #1 p4p.

    1. The gift decision he got over Marquez.
    2. Mayweather's "retirement"

Change either of those two outcomes and Pac gets bumped down to #2, 3, or 4 on the p4p lists.

Because Floyd is more talented and has advantages in height, reach, as well as training due to his upbringing. Ranking is not all about skills and talent, but with what you accomplish with it. Greatness, simplified, is how much you achieve compared to how gifted you are.

p4p ranking has never been exclusively judged on a head to head match up.

Pac is rated above Void for good reason. Void is afraid to fight Pac, instead he beats up women and steals from the handicapped!

True. It's all hypothetical. But the only thing that separates and prevents most of the clashes is the weightclass. The comparison starts with " if only boxer A is in the same weightclass as Boxer B". We make guesses with the assumption that the skills remain the same, that one is better than the other. We seldom get a chance to see the two best boxers exist in the same weight class where the comparison can be answered with finality, that is why not seeing them fight is frustrating.

Pretenders will always get exposed on the top, just like Zab Judah. Maybe that's why Floyd is avoiding Pac.

P4P ratings are based on recent accomplishments as well as ability. Mayweather's had 3 fights in four years compared to Pac's 9 or 10. In any case it's a 50-50 fight between the last two P4P #1's who can still perform at a high level. If Floyd was clearly favored to win he'd taken the fight.

:rofl:rofl:rofl:roflalmost a perfect thread! unfortunately you gave the dumb *******s a way to do what they love best: dodge the main argument since it exploits their stupidity and try to cry about someone not being grammatically correct on an internet forum. dumb asses:rofl:rofl:rofl

So basically Floyd would be favored because he's the better fighter but he's not above Pacquiao in the P4P ranking despite being the better fighter.

    Now it all makes sense.

my fave part of pac logic

"pac doesnt use anything....if he does...then floyd must be too...since they were the same weight as teens"

"pac is doing things weve never seen before...accomplishing amazing feats and beating men much bigger"

Being better is used to measure possible outcomes in head to head fights. Accomplishments are used to measure greatness. Being born to be better than someone doesn't mean you will accomplish more than that person. That is why the mental part of the sport is greater than the physical one. Because you have to believe you can actually do something before you try it.

sergio would be the favorite against floyd at 156, floyd would be at 150

floyd would be favored against pac at 147, pac would be favored against floyd at 140.
