Yup. If you look at their fight night weights, they aren't that far apart. But Floyd is obviously naturally bigger. But not by much. Size won't be an issue in this fight.
Let's compare their weights in fights. In 2012, when Floyd fought Cotto, Buffer said Floyd weighed 151 lbs. In that same year, when Pacquiao fought Marquez, Pacquiao weighed at the WW limit of 147 lbs. So, like others have said, while Floyd is not much bigger, he's still clearly bigger.
Naazim Richardson once said that the greatest trick Manny Pacquiao has played is convincing the world that he's a smaller man than he really is.
People talk about Mayweather able to make 140 lbs. if he wanted, but he didn't make weight against Marquez. Pacquioa, on the other-hand, I believe he could easily make 140 lbs. I read all the time about how Pacquiao eats his way up to 147 lbs. "Koncz said prior to the Algieri fight, Pacquiao had to train hard and eat all day just to get near 147. 'ItÂ’s getting harder for Manny to eat seven times a day and force himself. That takes away a lot of his focus and concentration in training.'" I think people are so full of **** when they say Pacquiao and Mayweather are the same size.
Wasn't Floyd vs Cotto at JMW though? How about comparing more recent bouts or comparing WW Floyd vs WW Manny?
Look up "Mayweather De La Hoya" tale of the tape and "Pacquiao De La Hoya tale of the tape." They both read-out at 15" calfs.
