Marquez just got lucky and pac fought reckless, plus the kidney punch was what really KO'd Pac. Illegal punch from an illegal steroid user.
Agreed. Think about somebody fighting Ali or fighting Tyson. Who do you want to fight? Who do you think will hurt you the worst? You pick Tyson and you'd be knocked out in a punch or two. Laying on the canvas, resting, at peace. You pick Ali and you get jabbed for 15 rounds, everytime jarring your brain in your skull, cutting up your face, bruising you, toying with you, fraustrating you, and making you feel inferior. Better to be knocked out QUICK for your physichal body. Also, one positive thing if I were Pac... The fact I was winning until I got wreckless, and got caught. You could say to yourself "anybody can get caught... don't mean i'm not the better fighter." IF he were dominated every round and then knocked out, what would you say then? So I think Pac will be just fine. Of course he's going to think maybe I'll get caught in his first fight back, but honestly he needs to work more on his defense, not be so wreckless, learn to cut off the ring, work his angles, etc. So maybe the loss won't be a bad thing for him.
I think he has an election in May. I know that Pac is a proud man, but he should give up politics. He NEEDS boxing (financially), and the only way to continue to be successful is for him to be 100% focused on boxing.
Yes I agree. I can't think of any fighter ever coming back to the top after a brutal ko like that. I think Roy Jones is an example of that. Pac needs to retire now. Nothing left to prove at this point. I know he is only 34 but that is old for the style he fights. If he fights on he will be KTFO again very soon. Forget Mayweather. Mayweather will kill Pacman at this point.
Pac needs to ****ing retire. But if he really wants one last fight, he should fight Floyd. This will be the only fight that makes sense to him: 1. The motivation will be there to train hard (again) 2. The financial reward will be there, although not as high as before the loss to Marquez 3. He is expected to lose to Floyd, no pressure whatsoever to him
This is a good point as well. Both methods have their credible points No, its easy to say "never do that again" but: 1) that's his style, he'd essentially be discarding away a bit of his identity 2) when you get too caught up over getting knocked out, you become too tentative and gun-shy. Jones-Tarver III, a sad sight:-(
i think he will fight. just because he was ko does not mean it was a total beat down. unlike the last 2 fights, pac was leading in first 5 rounds and was about to take a 2 point lead after the 6th before the ko happened.
