He should at the very least be #2 p4p. His fights with Marquez do not show weakness. I hate on Manny for the right reason because he is good....this thread is odd

As a teenager, Pac worked as construction laborer and fought (for a prize) on the side, fighting 1-2 times a month to earn meager amounts to feed his family. Malnourished and improperly trained, as Pac practically trained by himself alone, he won his first regional title at 18 and his first world title at 19. In this aspect, Pac is much better than Floyd, RJJ, BHop and ODLH.

    Weak? I believe that's bull****. :D

In fact he should be Boxing's ambassador to the world.

Is there any other #1 P4P fighter who made it to the Worlds 100 most influential people . . . or the Forbes most powerful people's list?

    5 divisional Titles (6 unofficially) . . . weak?

    :rofl

Pacquiao is in fact a strong p4p 1. He does what a true p4p atg should do, and that is move through the weight classes and dominate or destroy.

Put JC's '0' in context though- who did he beat on the way? Take away his last 3 fights and his resume doesn't look all convinving. Are you telling me because Duran losses total into the double figures that he is simply over-hyped because he doesn't have an '0' on his record? Why are people so infatuated with unbeaten fighters nowadays anyway? Pacman is more than a legitimate candidate for #1- he is #1. What he has acheived in the ring is nothing short of spectacular. JMM is a very close #2 IMO. If you assess Pacman's and JMM's last 3 fights and decipher who has had the more meaningful, tough opposition then you's have to go with JMM- assuming you believe, as I do, that he won the Pacquiao V JMM II.
