This is the first thing that will be ranted about in the RBR thread (if the website isn't dead due to overload)
All the credit in the world to Pac if he can pull this off because he will be much smaller than Mayweather in the ring.
I'm one to believe that Pacquiao is faster and stronger the lower weight he goes. He was around 140 preparing for Algieri and 143 at the weigh in, and on fight night, it was the largest display of power we've seen in a while. I think Pacquiao should come in around 144 like Algieri. It definitely looks like Floyd is putting on a ton of muscle and could come in 150-152 on fight night, but I think he should've come in lean. Speed is what's needed in this fight, and I fear the more muscle Floyd puts on, the higher the risk of him losing speed becomes.
Absolutely true. That's why Pacquiao is such a special specimen. He's bone density is freakishly large which produces more than normal amount of red blood cells. Allows him to put more muscle on while still having a surplus amount of red blood cells and keep his stamina from suffering. The fact that more muscle can cause a decline in speed + stamina is worrisome considering I think speed + stamina are two of the most important things in this fight.
Here's a photo Pac posted himself today. Is it just me or does his arms looks bigger than usual? https://twitter.com/mannypacquiao/status/584169737501835264
Not just you. Thise arms look like he's about 160, and been more on a hyper trophy type lifting regimen, which both aren't true. Starting to think both dudes are being trained for the knockout. Never seen manny look that big.
Pac has been eating twinkies and hohos between rounds. Pac said why train so hard? My taxes are paid for
