Props to Manny, but in the realistic world he would not have been able to do that without those four guys help:good

Yep, it takes two to tango. In those fights Pacquiao is the main man.

Congrats PAC, as well as to Mosley, Margarito, Cotto and Dela Hoya.

Well from a business perspective I have to give bob arum credit, i thought pac vs mosley would be a total disaster with the ppv numbers because of his age and last 2 fights. i hope that snoozer doesnt influence the marquez fight which I think will be a lot more fun.
but nice record, pacquiao top guy in boxing right now in a lot of aspects.

Would the Pacquiao vs Saul Alvarez fight next year in Mexico break the 1 million PPV buys? Would Pacquiao make it five (5) consecutive years in 2012?

DLH will always bring numbers as also Cotto will always bring his audience. Margaritos real comeback fight made a lot of noise and people were really curious and Showtime/CBS is probably what made this fight hit the one million mark with Mosley. Lets give credit where its due. I still think and hate to say this esp. since Manny is more of an exciting fighter, but Floyd is still the number one guy when it comes to attracting people and did the Clottey fight break the 1 million mark?

Manny only set the record as Tyson, Oscar, De la Hoya were all pretty inactive at their money making peaks

Oscar fought once every 2 years.

As I said, Floyd, Oscar, Tyson all basically semi retired at their PPV peaks

Manny's got no choice but to break the record.................Arum's stood there with a whip

It didn't do that well. Arum wanted way more

CBS put huge resources behind it. As well as selling it for 2 days after the figjht date. To try and make a statement to HBO

    Didn't really work

You know, you either have people who want to watch you or not. Manny's limit is obviously 1.2-1.3 million

Well the reports mentioned the name of the person who made the $65 million offer to Pacquiao and he's one of the world's richest men, Mexican Carlos Slim. Haven't heard Senor Carlos Slim denying the offer.

Tho 2012 is still a long way to go. Pacquiao has to defeat JMM in November and Saul Alvarez has to defeat Ryan Rhodes this month.

It's not Pacquiao's fault those guys were inactive.

Too bad vs every common opponents Floyd beats him in PPV #'s. Floyd= PPV king and most popular boxer on earth wether *******s like it or not. Can't argue with bigger numbers vs every common opponent even when Pac gets double the promotion and publicity by being with CBS/showtime and appearing on late night talk shows/cnn/60 minutes and meeting the president.
