well, point taken by OP i guess
welcome to the business of boxing....
Pretty much most all boxers have to use a promoter to get their fights situated for them. Ummm, they organize and matchmake. Fighters say yes or no to a fight, thats about it.

Why just complain about Pacquiao? How about complaining about promoters in general, if that is your real intent? Or are you just targeting Pacquiao, cuz thats what it comes off as... he's just like every other boxer who has a promoter

pacquiao and arum want to fight on November 13th. What's the problem?

oh maybe you forgot the fact that Pac has a second job and that he's scheduling his fights around a certain date.

But you're right. He IS a puppet and he should be demanding at LEAST 22 mil and 50 cents for any of his fights

The only person that even has a shot of beating Pacquiao at 147 or lower is Mayweather, so what difference does it make to Pacquiao. He is going to make seven figures regardless of who he faces.

He is the only guy that is super high profile.

People want to say "Poor Manny", but come on he MUST be aware. He is literally about to "cook the boxing history books" by gaining this title at a catchweight. Two fighters who don't deserve to be fighting for a 154lb title will be fighting for it at 150lbs.

You can't tell me Pac doesn't know or see what is about to be done. He doesn't care. He WANTS the fame/legacy no matter if it is deserved or not.

So why cook the history books?

If this was "just a fight that fit into a schedule" then he had a whole host of options. If this was a fight to get a legit 154lb title and make history, again, he had a whole host of options.

    Instead he... :bart

you're a floyd fan. He doesn't care about belts. why should you?

the fact that they're fighting for a VACANT belt is a joke. you guys should be criticizing the WBC for this.

I am a FMJ fan, but this isn't about FMJ. This is about boxing in general. It just kind of sucks to claim X titles in X divisions, set the bar at a certain point, but the truth is that history won't remember the details.

Again, I agree. A vacant title by two people not ranked in a division is bad. That on top of a catch weight? Come on. This just stinks all the way around for boxing.

I read this Thread and all that comes to mind is what happened to rational thinking. I understand giving people the benefit of dout, but to make excuse after excuse for a fighter is just plain crazy. This has led me to believe we have alot of fighter fans on here and not alot of Fight fans.

i DONT agree with garnishing a world title belt at a catchweight either, brutha. In principle, its completely wrong.

Its completely up to the affected commission/organization to endorse this as a title fight though, not the boxer or promoter.... so dont do the blame game

Its up to WBC to endorse this as a titlefight or not

All of this is happening because the guy that Pac wants to fight is on vacation.
