Margarito is better than a Vacation!!! You must have forgot that Pac and Arum 1st choice was Floyd!!! But the Chicken JOy in not up to the challenge and said He's not ready yet. So Pac went up to the next challenger who's willing to fight!!!
There is enough blame to spread around, but you have to really see who is in the power position here. TAC? - Right. You explain to the governor why you pissed away all of that sales tax revenue and didn't set up your premier sporting facility for more business. WBC? - Crap on the wishes of one of if not the most powerful promoter in the business? Right. Without fees that fighters are willing to pay sanctioning bodies die. So the only people in a real position of power to "take or leave" this here are Arum and Pac. This fight would make what it makes REGARDLESS of location or if a title were involved. So ask yourself, "Why a title? Why Texas?" ...and you get your answer. Arum (Site fee) and Pac (Legacy).
I said this earlier this month!!! Quote: Pacquiao doesn't have the balls to stand up to Arum and fight the fights his fans want to see. That's the sad Part. You can talk **** about Mayweather all you want but he is not fighting anymore meaningless bull**** fights. I rather Mayweather fight 1 a year against the best than to try and fight guys who have nothing to offer. Pacquiao last two fights will have come against two guys with no belts and no legacy behind there name except for losing close fights and cheating. He has hooked up with a guy who doesnt have a license to fight. Why would the so called best fighter in boxing be doing such a thing??????
lol, wholly different subject, and an entire monster.... corruption abounds.... whats new? Those who know how to play the game wins the most money... Thats where a strong, influential promoter comes in handy I speculate that GBP didnt do good a job rep'ing PBF vs Arum... Maybe why he had been courting King? If he hooks up, King should be solid in making a fight happen w/ Arum, and hopefully PBF dont lose the rest of his soul and the shirt off his back after the fight's done....
I am not sure how it is a different monster. My point is that at the end of the day it is boxing history that is getting jobbed. Pac is fully aware of it. GBP never took off the gloves fast enough. By the time they did Arum had gouged their eye, bit them, and had a firm grasp on their junk. They may be victims of listening to "talent" too much. Talent will make you do it their way then blame YOU if it doesn't work.
wow d00d - reading your posts are sometimes worse than reading a *******'s.... its your personal opinion, but i'd favor a fighter that fight MORE than LESS... i understand where you coming from, quality over quantity. Its true to an extent, but Pacquiao's last good few fights have been a decent mix of quality and "high-profiled" opponents. Plenty good enough for a regular boxing fan and even a casual boxing fan would be interested to watch. As for a *****..... well, you cant change blind extremism. Im not too fond of him fighting Margarito (i think he should be boycotted altogether - but it doesnt help that his promo owns both) but it WILL be an entertaining fight nonetheless, though Margo's outclassed badly. And i hope Pacquiao does enough cumulative damage (layer it on from SSM's) to put Margo into retirement. Cuz im rather tired of hearing this over-hyped, cult-followed guy who's got C-class abilities but A-class durability....
He has a license now, anyways margarito is still bigger than pacquiao so this would be a good challenge.
at the end of the day, nobody will care about the 135 belt, the 140 belt and the 154 belt. IMO. I'll be honest. History will remember the guy for not fighting an african american fighter of the slick style if he keeps up this charade.
Boxing history getting jobbed? Eh, im not sure where this "ethical/moral sense to boxing history by bald_head_slick" is coming from.... regardless of your opinion, Boxing history and the boxing world WILL continue to exist, with or without Pacquiao. In an ironic sense, that almost makes you sound like a.... ******* lol. and i think you are giving TOO much influential credit to Arum & Pacquiao. Believe it or not, PacWeather is just a ****ing drop in the bucket in History of Boxing..... who honestly cares how they're gonna affect the "boxing history" for pete's sakes lol JUST ****ING FIGHT ALREADY!!!!
Margacheato has done even less than Judah recently, unless you count getting KO'd as doing something. This a silly way to look at things.Even though Pacq fought Morales and MAB and Marquez, believe it or not,he was not that big even in 2007 and early 2008,but De la Hoya fought him anyway and launched him bigger.Pacq is supposed to be great for boxing,he should launch others.(Mayweather hasn't launched anyone but **** Mayweather) Pacq hasn't defended his 140 title yet and the mandatory is Bradley. His fan base is bigger than Clottey's was,and in America his fan base is bigger than Margacheato's too. These mexicans aren't machines who support just any mexican,Margacheato has simply never been big with mexican-americans.They like Manny a lot more than Margacheato, therefore Margacheato can only add a small droplet in that bucket. As far as Judah goes, that would be a huge fight for Manny. For one, everybody knows Judah,if only by word of mouth. He is much more known than Margacheato and would be a chance for Pacq to fight against an opponent with a ton of speed and a style he has never faced.I think there would be much more intrigue for this upcoming fight if it was with Judah. Manny and company proved with the Clottey fight that they feel he can be successful fighting whoever they choose.I mean Clottey was a West African man with no fan base in America to speak of.Judah is much bigger than Clottey and Maracheato in America, and Judah would electrify the event in a way that Margacheato has yet to do.People just aren't juiced up for this fight. We're still seeing Mayweather vs Pacquiao from every boxing news outlet there is.For Pacq,Judah would at least be considered somewhat of a stand in for Floyd, and Pacq could beat him (could he?) and say Floyd will get it worse.Margacheato on the other hand offers no insight into how that anticipated battle will play out, unfortunately for Pacq,it might effect the PPV #'s,and unfortunately for all of us ,that may effect any negotiations in a very negative way.
