Once upon a time folks in showbusiness used to hire comedians to write jokes for them, and I think Manny and Floyd oughtta avail themselves of the services of a joke writer, because neither of these guys are exactly wits. Who can forget wise cracks such as poochiao? At least Manny had kept his mouth shut up until now.
Personally, I don't put much stock into awards that are handed out by sports writers, and not actually earned in the sport the athlete is competing in. Perhaps you feel having a degree in "Journalism" makes somebody an expert on all things sports, but I don't. Fighter of the Decade is the equivalent of being elected Class President in High School. A giant popularity contest that has zero bearing on ability or accomplishments. But if you want to argue why the "Champion of the Decade" (Marquez) is greater overall than the "Fighter of the Decade" (Pacquiao).... have at it. I have a feeling though, suddenly that award doesn't mean much to you when I present it like this. Again, I don't put much stock into media manufactured awards.
