Mayweather by stoppage. I am a big fan of manny but I think that people are reading too much into the Hatton win. Hatton was easy to tag because he employed absolutly no defense at all. Anyone that thinks that pacquiao can hit mayweather like that has never seen floyd fight.

Not to mention that floyd can counter punch better than just about anyone in the sport right now. He would handle pacman similar to how he handled Ricky. He'll have some trouble in the begining but eventually the clean hard counters will start to add up and pacman will go down.

I expect it to be a competitive fight but Mayweather to pull away thru the middle rds, Floyd might even get marked up for the 1st time but I expect him to land the cleaner punches & a little more of them, I think his jab & lateral movement will stop Pac from shooting in with those bombs, Floyd will have him thinking in there & then it becomes FMJs game, a boxing game, I expect both guys to be rocked (only slightly tho) at some stage & FMJ to stand with Pac in short spells but mostly outboxing him from distance & countering a frustrated Pac when he really pushes the pace near the end when Roach tells him `your blowing it son`

    Mayweather UD Pacquiao 7-5/8-4 :good

I'm predicting JMM to pull off the upset, so how can I not pick Pac to be able to do the same!

Very true and excellent post. It's good to see a post that makes sense for a change. It's what exactly i have been telling people and most people don't get it. Floyd will not achieve anything by beating Pacman (and marquez). However, if Pacman win, he would have achieved some very special. It's a win-win situation for pacman and Lose-Lose for Floyd. If Floyd wants to enhance his legacy, he needs to fight the elite in his own division as you already mentioned.

Ricky Hatton and Manny Pacquiao have NOTHING in common. Mayweather is going to have work ALOT harder than he did against Ricky.

Pac is everything Ricky isn't he has great footwork, headmovement, rythmn, POWER and SPEED. I don't think PAC can beat Mayweather but as we've learned already do not underestimate him.

Mayweather has never been in with anyone with PACs superhuman speed, power and accurate punching. I'm excited to know what will happen.

I think it's not good to say who could win. Mayweather is a pretty skillful fighter and has pull through good matches to his credit. But looking to Pac surprise performances, I think these two has even chances and the win could go either way.

If Floyds at his best I think he wins late KO/UD.
If Floyd doesn't look his old self against JMM I'll say Pac KO.
