Absolute no way on Earth Pacquiao would go to 154 to fight a guy like Canelo. Biggest opponent he's faced was Margarito, at a catchweight and you got *******s raving about it like it was some monumental achievement. Margarito is a walking punchbag who never had the speed or talent to trouble Pacquiao, and that's the only reason they took that fight. Canelo, at 154, or even at a 150 catchweight would destroy current era Pacquaio. Too big, too strong, reasonably skilled and quick enough if a little open defensively, and Pacquiao no longer produces the workrate and doesn't have the power at that weight to be effective against Canelo.
Of course he wouldnt go to 154, that weight is too much for him. But I'm sure Canelo would be willing to drop to 147 to get an opportunity to fight Pacquiao, or meet at a catchweight. He's a career welterweight anyway. Your also giving him way too credit, he's not beaten anybody except a shot to hell Shane Mosley. Only reason this would be comeptitive is becuase Pacquiao has badly declined, but it would make for a great fight. I wouldn't mind seeing it.
Almost certain he's said the lowest he'd go is 150. I think he'd find it hard to make 147 now. He's big, really grown into a proper light-middleweight.
Lol at you already hedging your bets on imminent beat down you know is coming..."badly declined". I'm not even gonna pull all the quotes from Ariza, Roach, Manny himself, Emmanual Stewart, etc etc talking about Manny being in the best shape of his career, never been faster, etc etc. Floyd is eventually gonna punish the **** out of dude and its not because "Manny's badly declined"...it's sad when you concede the ass whoppin and already planting seeds for excuses. You're pathetic breh, simple and plain. "Badly declined"...lol
